“But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.” Ezekiel 33:6-9

Amen.

Sue Green sent me this article today, and I am posting it as it really spoke to me as well about sancification, Thank you, Sue!
Sanctification
“Of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us.sanctification.” 1 Cor i. 30.
Oswald Chambers
The Life Side. The mystery of sanctification is that the perfections of Jesus Christ are imparted to me, not gradually, but instantly when by faith I enter into the realization that Jesus Christ is made unto me sanctification. Sanctification does not mean anything less than the holiness of Jesus being made mine manifestly.
The one marvelous secret of a holy life lies not in imitating Jesus, but in letting the perfections of Jesus manifest themselves in my mortal flesh. Sanctification is “Christ in you.” It is His wonderful life that is imparted to me in sanctification, and imparted by faith as a sovereign gift of God’s grace. Am I willing for God to make sanctification as real in me as it is in His word?
Sanctification means the impartation of the Holy qualities of Jesus Christ. It is His patience, His love, His holiness, His faith, His purity, His godliness, that is manifested in and through every sanctified soul. Sanctification is not drawing from Jesus the power to be holy; it is drawing from Jesus the holiness that was manifested in Him, and He manifests it in me. Sanctification is an impartation, not an imitation. Imitation is on a different line. In Jesus Christ is the perfection of everything, and the mystery of sanctification is that all the perfections of Jesus are at my disposal, and slowly an surely I begin to live a life of ineffable order and sanity and holiness: “Kept by the power of God.”

Go into the world…en francais!
September 28, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I was driving home from Tyler tonight alone on a dark stretch of road and I was meditating on an eventful past week. Several days ago, I wrote about technology and preaching the gospel, and sure enough, my new friend (Allan) from across our continent has a link to another brother named Rory, and Rory has a link to an article by my LOCAL Dallas friend and brother Steve Lumbley! When Jesus instructed to go into the world and preach the gospel, He knew that one day, the resources and capabilities would be available to do just that! That day and time is here, and I was thinking about many years ago when I first had my site linked to WOL. I mentioned to Doyle that I thought it would be right to write some testimonies in french as well. This was immediately discouraged and dismissed as it would just “puff me up”.
Well, Doyle no longer makes my decisions and if I get too puffed up, God is well able to deflate me. I would encourage Doyle to seek a little deflating himself, while he still has the chance.
So, I am looking forward to “L’Evangile en Francais”. I eventually hope to share with others from my native land as well. Lord knows they could use a good dose of Gospel or Good News, ministered in love from the “Bible belt” to the “Roman belt”.
Que Dieu nous benisse!

LA BONNE NOUVELLE-Christ a dit, «je suis venu afin que les brebis aient la vie, et qu’elles soient dans l’abondance» (Jn 10:10)
September 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Jésus a dit: «Je bâtirai Mon Église».

Super Frauder- Le Super Fraudeur

The super frauder
Le super fraudeur-
Pour celui qui ne la connaît pas, la bible est un livre qui déclare des choses surprenantes.
For those that may not know it, the bible is a book that declares surprising things.
Elle révèle des vérités totalement inconnues de ceux mêmes qui disent la comprendre
It reveals truths totally unknown to even those who claim to know it.
Mais, il y en a peu qui soient aussi renversantes que celle que nous retrouvons dans Apocalypse 12:9. Ce verset dit que Satan — qui existe bel et bien — «séduit toute la terre».
But there are few (truths) that are as shattering as those found in Revelations 12:9. This verse states that Satan-who sure enough exists- “seduces the whole earth”.
En tant que «prince de la puissance de l’air» (Éph 2:2), Satan a influencé, guidé, dominé et totalement séduit une population sans défiance.
As the “prince of the power of the air” (Eph 2:2), Satan influences, guides and dominates and totally seduces a population without defiance.
Voilà une révélation absolument sidérante, et à un point tel que la majorité l’ignore ou la rejette tout simplement, croyant que cela est impossible. Mais c’est bien dans votre bible. Et le monde entier demeure totalement inconscient du fait qu’il est séduit.
Here is an absolutely shocking revelation, to the point that the majority ignore it or simply reject it, thinking that this is impossible. But is is surely in your bible. And the whole world remains totally oblivious that it is seduced.

I am crucified daily…are you? (updated 10/4/09)
October 3, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
I have been thinking about the words Paul wrote, and I recently asked myself if I really understood and believed what it meant to be crucified with Christ. The above verse clearly states that Paul lived in the flesh, but by the faith of the Son of God.
That is also the way Jesus walked in this earth. He was a man like us, and when we are crucified with Christ, that man lives in and through us. What an amazing thing! That man was an Apostle, a Prophet, a Pastor, a Teacher and an Evangelist. Those ministries operate through us when we crucify our flesh and live the life of Jesus. He is ALIVE through us, and reigns and rules in righteousness when we allow Him, and not our flesh, to take over.
So, why do we need Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers and Evangelists to perfect us? we DON’T when we allow the living God to live through us. He is already perfect! He is a perfect teacher, a perfect prophet (not a false one like so many out there), and a perfect evangelist. When we live the life of Jesus, we live the life of an Apostle. No, I am not saying that a woman can be an Apostle or Prophet. But that man, Jesus, living in us IS, regardless of our age, gender, heritage or nationality!
No flesh glories in the presence of God. In order for the life of Jesus to shine through our mortal bodies, our flesh has to be put to death. Yes, like Paul, we live in a mortal body of flesh. But that flesh is put to death when we resist sin and then made alive by the faith of Jesus in us. Our mortal bodies are quickened by Him who was raised from the dead. That Jesus in us only does what the Father tells Him to do. By allowing Jesus in us to obey the Father, we are living the life of Jesus that Paul is referring to, and that lived in him as well. We cannot obey both our flesh and our Father. Our flesh must be crucified to allow the Father, the Son, the Apostle, the Prophet, the Teacher, the Pastor, the Evangelist, to operate and work through us. When we allow Jesus to live through us, we allow the Conquerer, the Deliverer, the Overcomer, the Warrior, the Healer, the Provider, the Restorer, the Forgiver and the Believer to live in us as well.
How’s THAT for titles?
That man Jesus who lives in us is not a fornicator. He is not a liar. He is not a thief. He is not an adulterer. He is not a drunkard. Jesus was not prideful and self-serving. Jesus did not depend on others, including His earthly dad (Joseph) to take care of Him. He is not only our example, He is the light that shines within us ! That light searches our innerparts, exposes the sin that dwells in our flesh and puts it to death. When we allow His life to live through us, we walk like He walked. We talk like He talked. We live like He lived, because our life is His, and not our own.
We have HIS nature. HIS strength. HIS power.
When men claim to be Apostles and Prophets, but they still allow their flesh to reign, they are false. It is not Jesus living in them, no matter what words they repeat to convince us otherwise. The devil is a liar. He will try to deceive even the very elect. When the Apostle and Prophet Jesus lives in us, there is no need to try to convince the world. Jesus replied to those who puzzled over who He was, that He was the Son of God. Those that are led by His spirit are the Sons of God as well, because they have JESUS, the Son, in them! He didn’t go around announcing that He was an Apostle, over and over, or a Prophet, sent to the city of____. He never proclaimed “I am an Apostle sent to the city of Capernaum, to preach to the people of Capernaum and bind the Jezebel over that city”.
Did he?
There was no need to tell anyone, because most of the world could not see who He was anyway, in spite of all the miracles He did. Even those from His hometown believed He was just a carpenter! It is the same today. The world cannot see Jesus in us, unless He is revealed to them. When people go around proclaiming their title, it is usually in order to manipulate us with fear and submission to them and their “authority”. These people treat the ministries of Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Pastors and Evangelists as TITLES as opposed to ministries.
Titles puff the flesh up and gives these frauds dominion over those who fall for the wiles of the devil. Anyone who has crucified their flesh and allows Jesus to live through them will live and minister like Jesus did!
So, like Jesus and Paul, we must put our flesh and it’s deeds to death to pick up the cross daily. We can then allow Jesus and His deeds to show forth instead of our own. His righteousness reigns, not ours . His love is shed abroad, not ours . Perfect love casts out fear, and we can walk in perfect faith, because it is Jesus’s faith that is perfect, not ours! Those who live like Paul did will recognize those of us that live the life of Jesus as well. That’s when fellowship among brothers becomes possible. Jesus in us layed down His life for His brothers. Jesus in us always puts others first.
THE TRUE SAINTS OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST SHOULD NEVER COMPROMISE TRUTH AND DOCTRINE FOR THE SAKE OF UNITY. The unity Christ talked about in John 17, is a unity based on truth and not error. Jesus living in us will guide us into all truth!

From my new Blog Buddies
October 4, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I have met yet another blogger friend. I am borrowing this list from her site, (she states she got it from someone else) and I am sharing it on mine, because it hit home with me too. I added my own contributions at the bottom of the list. Feel free to send me a comment and I can add yours too.
I received this list from someone i met on the internet–and this list is so true–i am actually posting in for those that may have someone in their congregation who has been spiritually abused-or for those that know someone who has been spiritually abused or in a cult. And those of us who have, these words are so true–now i know that many say these things without knowing somehow has been hurt, nor know tht they are wrong–but i just wantd to post them so that you know, and are more aware of what you might say..Thanks-i know for me they hit close to home/my soul.
WHAT YOU NEVER SAY TO SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN DECEIVED BY AN EXPLOITIVE,ABUSIVE GROUP
**”If you had kept up prayer and Bible study you wouldn’t have ended up deceived.”
**”Why did you take so long to leave?”
**”You certainly are the last person I would think would join a cult.”
**Your group isn’t a cult; they have the right doctrines. Perhaps you are just bitter.”
**”They aren’t a cult, only a little aberrant.”
**”You need to get into a good church.”
**”We’ve got just the class for you. It’s for those who are new with the Bible.”
**”Getting into the word of God is the answer.”
**”You need to repent of your sins.”
**”You were in satans clutches.”
**”What do you have to be depressed about, you’re out aren’t you?”
**”There are people worse off than you are.”\
**”How could you have been so foolished or stupid?”
**I hope you are smart enough not to get involved in another cult.”
**Why cant you just forgive and forget?”
**”I don’t want to hear anymore about your former group.”
**”Why are you continuing to dwell on this? get on with your life.”
**”You much have been weak spiritually”
**”You are over-reacting”
**Forget about those people (in the group you left)-you’ll make new friends at a new church.”
**No one in your kind of group could be converted.”
**If you had just stayed in the “word” you would never have been decieved.”
**Why give up on god? you were the one who turned away from him.”
**You chose to go into the cult.”
I will add a few of my own to this list:
You are a moron
You are a lightweight
Quit playing with dung
get over it, move on
join our group, we have the answers
stay away from anyone that ever had anything to do with that place
start over
we would have never fallen for that
we would have seen right through them, even when we were young
Our young kids would have known better.
I told you so…
I have also been in communication with a couple of French sites (see links under International Sites). The sites www.connaitredieu.com (knowinggod) and www.prayforfrance.com are non-denominational, and the first site mails out free french bibles upon request. I have ordered mine, and I thank God for this blessing. He is putting it in my heart to pray for my people on both continents. Here are a couple of stats about my native country from one of those sites:
From its very beginning, God has had a plan and a special calling for France.
We could write volumes about the historical and spiritual significance of France’s past or speculate as to what God is doing today, but it really boils down to this:
France is poised for revival
How can we say that?
where sin increased, grace increased all the more!
- Evangelical Christian believers account for only .8% of the population. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia (1.5% and .9%) have more Evangelicals per capita.
- Church attendance is one of the lowest in Europe (6-8%, compare that to the USA’s 44%).
- 80% of French people have never owned or even seen a Bible.
- There are approximately 50,000 full-time practitioners of occult arts (tarot, fortune telling, psychic healing, etc) who easily outnumber the 35,000 full-time Christian workers in France.
- Muslims make up approximately 10% of France’s population (compared to 1.5% in the USA). This is the highest percentage in any European country.
(Source: Operation World)
French President Nicholas Sarkozy has said, “Religion’s place in France at the beginning of the third millennium is central.” This statement, coming from the current French president (before his term) is astounding! France is beginning to re-think it’s spiritual heritage. Young people, especially, are turning to the message of Jesus. A new day is dawning.
The light that shines where it is the darkest shines the brightest!

More good stuff…

No wonder Doyle didn’t want us reading anything but the bible that HE interpreted for us! Doyle recently had a revelation of Isaiah 4:1. See what this man writes about this below. Not at all Doyle’s PERSONAL interpretation! Doyle seems to think this means he can have MULTIPLE WIVES!!!!
Here’s some good points from my new friend Rory’s Moore’s site:
Did you know:
- ALL the original disciples, all the apostle’s and all who heard them, were called “to come out from among them“, i.e., the religious establishment and institutions of Israel. ALL of Christ’s disciples left the religious traditions and institutions of their day to follow Jesus Christ. The establishment church then persecuted them.
- “The Ministry“ is not the Bible-College certified, hired and titled pastor-administrator position.
- The system conforms church leaders to the religious traditions of men, not scripture.
- Many find a “church” but fail to find God in the hopelessly fragmented, sectarian, competitive, church world.
- Boxed and packaged church “services” are served behind walls and in comfortable pews.
- Corrupted by the very leaders who claim to represent God’s authority they are corraled behind walls and so is the gospel.
- the modern concept of church itself has become an idol men serve, defend, and sacrifice to.
-
Churches are “married” to the government by 501c3 tax exempt agreement.
The Clergy: What is the fruit of the institutionalized, titled and frocked clergy-dominated church?
>>>see: Clergy Gone Wild with shocking pics! <<<
- Homogenized Christians are conditioned to follow pastor(s) and/or priests, rather than God.
- Most Christians never find their personal calling and place in God’s Kingdom.
Is it any wonder most Christians never mature into the fruit-bearing modeled for us in scripture? - Most Christians rarely quote or speak God’s Word.
- A lukewarm church routine and hired pastor’s sermon replace study and listening to the voice of the Lord.
- No signs, no faith, no trust in God’s Word follow the modern church.
“Church” has become a safe-haven for demons who have little fear of being exposed or cast out. - Pastors have not one verse giving them sole-authority in an assembly.
Step back and look at what “church” has become: www.youtube.com/watch
See this shocking list of common un-Biblical practices passed off as Christian.
Decision for Christ Salvation? Ask Jesus into your heart? Truth or lie? 7 minutes.
On this site you will find overwhelming evidence from scripture how “church” departed from “The Faith once delivered to the saints”.
And a prophetic Word we received Jan. 2008:
“Because my people have not used my blessings of abundance to meet the needs of their brethren, they will learn to meet the needs of others from the little they have left.
When they had much, they gave little,
and that into the hands of those who decieved them.
Now I will fill their world and their eyes with those in need
and thus will they be purified of their greed.”
Is Babylon fallen? Is the CHURCH FALLEN?
Is the CHURCH the great tree grown from the mustard seed in which dwell the fowls of the air as Jesus said? Is the church become great? Have we not Christian celebrities, the GREAT men even the giants of Christianity? Are not so many considered GREAT in their kingdoms? Are they not idols whose great swelling words move MULTITUDES of God’s people? Does My Word even say “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.”?
Does not the scripture say in the latter days there would be a GREAT APOSTASY and that Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first?, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Yes, even the fallen Adamic man living inside the heart of the temple of which ye are?
And this because My people have DEPARTED from My Word. Is not Babylon the church a spiritual place where spiritual beings called devils, foul spirits, and UNCLEAN FOWLS that disguise themselves as the Holy Spirit abide?
But the pure word of my mouth has been polluted like the very waters of the land where you live. Is not this a parable before your very eyes? I tell you Babylon the Great is fallen, fallen not for a time removed in the future, it is NOW.
Is the Bride to RULE over her husband? Does the bride teach the bridegroom? Does the bride have authority over Christ? Yet the church has usurped authority over Gods’ people contrary to My Word. heard in prayer Dec 06.
This is exactly what Ezekiel and many other prophets wrote about. Ezekiel 34 is a clear prophecy about the shepherds and leaders of Apostate modern Christianity. You don’t have to look very hard to find them. Here is another:
Isa. 4:1
And in that day seven women (the 7 representive churches in Revelation ch 2,3)
shall take hold of one man, (calling on Jesus)
saying, We will eat our own bread, ( we will follow our own faith & doctrine)
and wear our own apparel: (putting on false outward righteousness)
only let us be called by thy name, (Christian in name but not disciples)
to take away our reproach. (they want sins forgiven but do not obey the covenant)
“Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside the gate. Let us therefore go forth unto him without (outside) the camp, bearing his reproach. For we have not here an abiding city, but we seek after the city which is to come.” -Hebrews 13:12-14

Spiritual abuse occurs when someone in a position of spiritual authority, the purpose of which is to ‘come underneath’ and serve, build, equip and make God’s people MORE free, misuses that authority placing themselves over God’s people to control, coerce or manipulate them for seemingly Godly purposes which are really their own.

over 8000!!!
October 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I was recently informed in a support group that there are over 8000 similar groups to WOL in the U.S.
8000!!!
Here is an excerpt from another site about a female leader of their abusive group- The parallels are astounding.
She accused everybody of lust, heterosexual and homosexual.
If all her accusations were true, that church was the biggest group of lustful, wife-swapping, incestuous pedophiles under one roof.
During song service, she would walk up to different young people and say she saw ‘lust demons’ coming out of their eyes. Therefore, the poor humiliated people had to be ‘prayed’ through the clutch of their evil and there had better be some ‘coughing up’ of some demons into napkins if you ever wanted to get out of church that night.
As she was morally responsible for all these young lives, it was up to her to pick the young people’s mates for them. And you better take her choice and be grateful for it!
Thank God the young man she ‘picked’ for me fought her decision. There were never two more incompatible people on the face of this earth- we would have divorced in a year.
And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream”.

God bless…who????? (updated 10-6-09)

I just read Ms. SMALL’s recent homage to her heritage and her country. I was about to post a response, when I came upon this article by a man named Kevin Hendrick, and he said what I believe better than I ever could. He wrote this seven years ago, and it is even more relevant today than it was back then. I am also posting the comments he received on what he wrote as well.
Once again, Ms. SMALL, you need to be delivered from your daddy.
I certainly didn’t see the words SLAVERY anywhere in your dissertation!
Christianity and Patriotism
September 1st, 2002 I feel so conflicted when American Christians act like they are citizens of the United States before they are citizens of the Kingdom of God. The Bible calls us to give to our government what belongs to our government, but give to God what is God’s. It seems to me that God requires much more of us than our government, yet we continue to give our loyalty, our passion, and our commitment to our country.
The United States is a great country. I don’t ever want to deny that. The freedoms we have in this country are to be valued and cherished. But with those freedoms come responsibilities and abuse. We are the most materialistic society in the world thanks to our freedom. It’s astounding.
Again and again American Christians make the claim that this country is God’s favored nation. Somehow God has shined his light upon us and us alone, and allowed us to become the world’s superpower. What do we base that right upon? This country was founded by God fearing men. God fearing men who owned slaves. God fearing men who believed in a detached, clock-maker God. Many of them were deists. God fearing men who decided not to give to Caesar what was Caesar, but decided to claim it for themselves and declared their independence. And time and time again Christian leaders turn to the passage in Chronicles where God cries out to the Israelites, saying that if his people would humble themselves and pray, he would rise up their nation. That promise is claimed for countries that are not Israel, and I wonder how that makes sense. We claim God’s blessing and we claim God’s favor, based upon what?
The motto of this country is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Jesus Christ calls us to take up our cross, an instrument of execution, and follow him. Jesus was asking us to die to ourselves. To take up our lethal injection, to sit in the electric chair–to give up our lives so that we can serve him. That doesn’t sound like the pursuit of happiness. We are called to be slaves to righteousness. That doesn’t sound like liberty. The American ideal is based on the oft-quoted, but not scriptural idea that “God helps those who helps themselves.” Lie. The opposite is found in scripture–God can only help us when we realize that we can’t possibly help ourselves.
That’s the whole foundation of salvation. We can’t pay the price for our sins on our own. It can’t be done. No amount of good deeds will wipe our slate clean. Only the blood of Jesus makes us clean. We can’t help ourselves.
So while patriotism swells around me, I find it choking. When patriotism sweeps in, logic and free thinking often pour out. We think our God-favored status gives us special rights, gives us permission to act in the world, to do what we think is right. The result has been abuses across the globe. Smart bombs that fall on wedding parties, the support of dictators and the repression of others, based simply on what effects our pocketbooks. Our country as a whole pays lip service to God, yet Christians cling to that like it’s something that matters. God doesn’t care if we give homage to him our money. He doesn’t need our money. God doesn’t care if we admit that our nation is under his watchful eye in our pledge. God doesn’t care if our judges and congressman and even the president spend a moment in rehearsed prayer. God doesn’t care about any of that. What really matters is if God is our god, any thing less is showmanship. Anything less is lip service. Any thing less is a slap in the face. So why pretend? Why insult God on high? He deserves better than that.
When we say God bless America, what are we really asking? Are we asking God to bless us above every other nation on earth? Are we asking God to bless our pocket books and our bank accounts and our stock options? Or are we asking God to convict us of the sin so prevalent in every wrung of our society. Are we asking God to help us kill those terrorists? Or are we asking God to make himself known to unbelievers? Are we asking God to let his people proclaim his name on the streets? Or we asking God to open hearts of the unsaved on the streets, so that lives are changed, not just callused by our faithful proclamation?
Occupied, oppressed, persecuted and closed nations are often places where you find the true Christians. Their family Bible, hidden in a slit in the mattress, is their prized possession. Not the brand new SUV in the driveway. The American Christian has become fat and lazy, drowned in a sea of possessions, paying lip service to God on Sunday morning, and then falling asleep to football Sunday afternoon while an unbelieving world goes to hell, all while we sing ‘God Bless America’ and think we live in the greatest nation on earth. Every empire that has ever existed and has ever fallen has swallowed the same lie.

AMEN!!!!
I completely agree, but not many see it. I just had this discussion with a friend in Denver this week-end. She was talking about what a great God-fearing nation this is and how the election of George Bush was a “mini” revival. I am so frustrated right now with this pervasive thinking in the American church.

I have had the same thoughts for some time now. God has blessed us for a long time and I’m not sure why. Just because He is so merciful, I guess. But it seems the hand of blessing is lifting.
God help us.
And He will. But it may not look the way we want it to.
When people in China pray for hours on end, but I can’t get people to attend a thirty minute prayer meeting because they are so busy…who is really free? -

I agree, I experienced something of what you’re talking about at a new church this weekend, and it troubled me. I felt horrible wasting more than half of my corporate worship time pledging to a flag and singing songs to my country as opposed to my God. Why, are national hymns even in a Christian hymn book? Anyways, nice post… I’m going to subscribe, keep up the good work!

I just received an e-mail from Ms. Mai, and she correcty states that the article was written by her step mom, who bares a very similar name to hers. My sincere apologies for the error. I always knew Kathie Small by her real name, and I’m sure Jesus does too. Again, my apologies for the error.
No, I’m not disappointed. I stand corrected, and thank you, Ms. Mai, for your graciousness.
I have corrected my prior post accordingly.

American Pride and Materialism
October 7, 2009 · Leave a Comment
For the fun of it, I googled the words “American Pride” and immediately noticed a large amount of businesses that include those words in their names…American Pride Tatoos, American Pride Bank, American Pride Seafood…automotive, jewelry…
boy, are we ever proud of our PRIDE!
And it gets worse. Some are even PROUD of their SOUTHERN Pride. I found this on a “Confederate” website:
Even though we lost the War for Southern Independence, the cause for which we fought has not been lost. It still lives on in the spirit of the Southern people. This spirit, undaunted by reconstruction and guided by the hand of God, like the phoenix which rose from the ashes, will lead Southrons to build a new South that will rise in prominence among the nations of the world.
Are you kidding me? Rise in prominence among the nations of the world???
Based on WHAT? The flag you stubbornly hang from the back of yur (sic) pickup, along with your gunrack?
“In God We Trust” was put on all paper currency by an Act of Congress in 1955; the phrase was declared the national motto by an Act of Congress in 1956 and first appeared on paper currency in 1957.
The mid-to-late 1950s were a time of overt racism, religious discrimination, and political oppression in the United States. During this period, the federal government acted more like an authoritarian dictatorship than a constitutional democracy. The government violated civil rights with impunity.
Adding “In God We Trust” to the US currency was an act of religious and political propaganda, allegedly to counter the threat of “godless communism.”
While I have personally stuggled with the issue of finances-and we’re called upon to be responsible stewards and providers for those dependent upon us-it’s worth remembering that not only will such achievements be temporary, but they also provide no salvation for us or the people around us. An improved life perhaps, spoiled and selfish kids, probably, but perfection and salvation won’t be found in it, no matter how successful we may be.
Throughout the bible, fellowship with Christ and fellowship with the saints often involved not peace & prosperity, but suffering & heartache. Is this to say that we cannot be blessed or cannot have a lot, God forbid. The Lord wants us to be able to live righteously in either scenario. According to the bible it is important for us to be content with what we have, be it a lot or be it a little.
Oh that we would return to the Lord and follow Him in rigtheousness! Hating sin but loving the sinner. Being content in all things. Seeking the face of the living God. These things are the way of bible economics, my friend.
Our Prideful nation drowning in debt simply means we are restricted in our foreign policy. We cannot talk about human rights to China when they are our main external creditor — for that matter, we cannot talk about human rights since we detain folks for eternity at The Gitmo! Al Queda knows we cannot afford to fight another war. The North Korean President and Iran know we cannot afford to fight another war because we are in debt up to our eyeballs.
On an personal level, when we have too much debt, we become slaves to our job and our boss. We are forced to put up with stuff we would not normally have to put up with. As individuals , we may also be forced into relationships that are not God’s will for us, no matter how we try to justify them.
For many years, I belonged to a group which taught us to live paycheck to paycheck. We were encouraged to “Obey God” with our money, which meant we did with little while the leaders lived a lavish lifestyle, and called it “faith”. We were taught that saving money, 401K’s, insurance and stocks were “not of God”. People lost their houses (I know several families who did). Others lost their marriages. This was blamed on our ”unbelief”, not on the greed and the love of worldy things that compelled such teachings.
In biblical times, the famine in Egypt lasted 7 years. But through the wisdom of Joseph, the Egyptians stored up enough grain to last through the whole famine!
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. - Proverbs 13:22
Apparantly, the above verse only applied to the leaders, but not to the rest of us (sinners)!
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: – Proverbs 1:5
Increased learning and wise counsel was also discouraged, unless if came from the “leaders”.
People elect government officials. They are accountable to voters. We are not accountable to any voter… but rather to God — so let’s follow the sound money principals laid out so plainly in the bible! If you need to cut your vacation expense, do it. If your child cannot have any more dance lessons, so be it. If you do not need such a big house, then don’t buy it. If the refrigerator is still working, don’t change it! Better to be wise than reckless…and prideful!
While in Europe, I noticed how simply people lived. Daily life was based more on relationships and less on materialism. Going for walks and visiting friends, without trying to impress anyone with what we accumulate and horde, brings so much more peace to one’s life! We shopped daily for what we needed for our meals, and never walked away with huge carts of “stuff” to last us an eternity…or until our next weekly trip to fill up the gas guzzler with more “stuff”.
Being content in whatever situation we find ourselves in is the key to having peace.
The women were much more natural and simple in Europe as well. Not much makeup, quality clothing but in less abundance. Not many fancy hair styling tool, gels and sprays. It’s okay to wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row, ladies! Instead of expensive decors, why not plant a flower garden and decorate with the fruit of our labors? Instead of a stockpile of video games and movies, why not spend family time playing a board game or baking cookies? Our kids will remember this much longer than yet another X-box game.
No, it’s not the person who dies with the most ”stuff” and calls this ”faith”, who “wins”.

PRIDE, OR FAITH?
October 9, 2009 · Leave a Comment
| As I was driving home from work this evening, the words “thy faith has made thee whole” came to my Spirit. I started to think about these words, and it dawned on me that Jesus never told the people He healed ” MY faith has made you whole “. He never said “you would be nothing without me”.
It was another one of those eye opening moments, or, as a famous talk show host would call it, one of those “aha! moments”. So, I got home, and looked those words up. Here is what Jesus said to the woman after He healed her: …And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction.” Matthew 9:22 I believe that is exactly what Jesus is saying to me today. MY faith has made me whole. No one else’s. I can go in peace and be healed of my affliction. Too often, we are taught that we need to depend on the faith of others to get anything from God. We need men and ministries to perfect us. These “godly people” brag about how long they have been walking perfectly before God. They build a unconcious dependency on them, in us, while putting us down, so that we are bound to them for what their faith can do for us. The thought of failing without them has us paralyzed and when that lifeline between us and God is threatened, we panic and drown in fear, like Peter did when he attempted to walk on water without Jesus. I was communicating with a friend of mine today about people who get puffed up and state that they don’t need doctors and that their faith in Jesus is what sustains them. I don’t disagree with these statements, at least not the one about Jesus not needing doctors to heal us. He created us, He is well able to heal us as well. The problem is when we get so prideful to believe that it is our faith that is the healing factor, and not the grace of God in our lives. No, Jesus did not tell that woman “My grace has made you whole”. But I guarantee that that woman didn’t believe it was her great faith that healed her either. She knew it was the grace of God, and that’s why she received her healing. Many people don’t get theirs because they depend on their great faith, or the great faith of others, when it is God’s grace that grants us the faith to believe. Not our own “worthiness”. I have noticed that often when we brag on our faith, God has a way of bringing us down a notch or two to humble us and remind us that we don’t walk nearly as high up as we think we do. This has happened to me many times personally. It is much better to humble ourselves than to have God do it for us. Too often, we read in the news or hear on T.V that yet another family has lost a loved one because of their pride. They prayed and believed, but their faith did not make their family member whole. No matter how often they point to that scripture and claim to stand on it, without the grace and mercy of God, we are toast. And..God grants grace to the humble, not those who claim to walk in perfect faith. So my prayer today for myself and my family is…

Hypocrisy in our midst
October 10, 2009 · 2 Comments
“To rise from error to truth is rare and beautiful”.
-Victor Hugo
One of the main reasons I started this blog was to consider all the things that I learned over the years that do not line up with God’s purposes for my life, as well as my children’s. Until pretty recently, my life reflected a combination of what I learned from men and yes, some things I learned on my own as well. These things did not always line up with the Word of God. This is why I address mostly Catholics and Water of Life (WOL), as well as what God is revealing to me in my own heart.
I have posted some charts to compare what some people believe compared to the Christianity that was established according to the Word of God. Some people don’t believe that the bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is not my job to convince anyone otherwise. However, there are over 500 FULFILLED scriptures that were foretold thousands of years before they happened, and many yet that have not. Some are taking place in our midst today, in spite of our hypocrisy (more about that in a future post).
A hypocrite usually doesn’t know he is one. We have ALL been there. I was talking to a family member yesterday, and they , once again, used the words “I told you so” when discussing one of the groups I address. They themselves are part of another group I address. Yes, that person was right, they did tell me so…but they are still wrong now. They cling to the lies that they grew up in, and they like it so.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6
I believe that it was God’s will and purpose in my life to be part of both Catholicism and WOL. God sends a great army to bind us up, so that we must trust Him, humble ourselves and call on His name to be delivered. Until then, we are just trying to save ourselves. That is denying the cross, my friends, not picking it up daily.
For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
Isaiah 9:16
For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
Jeremiah 32:34
It takes humility to admit when we make a mistake. Especially one that lasted 25 years. But when we do humble ourselves, that is when God can finally…
“bring upon them all the good that I have promised them“.
And, no, that does not mean that we have finally won the lottery!
Like I was telling a friend of mine recently, in the bible, there is a group of people who honored God with their lips, but in the end, they denied Him and fell away. There is another group that lived in denial, but eventually, accepted the truth.
Jesus said that obedience is better than sacrifice. I have been thinking about those words recently. I have family members who just made a pilgrimage on their knees to worship an idol made of wood and stone. They call me a fanatic, or an extremist, because I am seeking the will of God in my life, and obeying God and not man made religion. They honor God with their lips, and their knees, but their hearts are far from Him.
How can I say these things? Because I love them. And because with their dead works, they have magnified themselves against the living God!
And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the LORD. Jeremiah 48:42
Yes, I do know many generous and kind hearted, religious people. They are model citizens, they pay their taxes, they attend church religiously. They make fine citizens in society, and their good works are seen of men. I have been blessed by people like these myself, many times. But that is not what Jesus wants or asks of us. He never knew these workers of iniquity. He wants our OBEDIENCE, not our SACRIFICE. He wants us to seek Him, read His word, pray the way HE instructs us to, worship the way HE tell us to, not on our knees, but in Spirit and Truth. He wants to be our god, not our Pope, or a man named Doyle, and He wants us to be His people, not Catholics or Wol’ers. It is not I who judges anyone. The Word of God is our judge, and it judges me as well as those I address.
What authority do I have to say these things? Christ in me has the authority, and He loves us all enough to cleanse some enough, by His blood and His word, so they can deliver others who don’t have the strength or faith or integrity to seek Him on their own. It is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance, and it’s also His goodness and mercy that opens our ears to hear what His Spirit is saying to us, no matter who it is coming from.
I was thinking recently about how Jesus was regarded by those who didn’t have a revelation of who He really was. They asked “is this not the carpenter’s son? “ The people from His hometown had no clue, and He received little respect. That did not stop Him from being who He truly was.
Who do I think that I am? Just a sinner, saved by grace, and washed by the blood of the Lamb.
So before we attempt to take the splinter out of a brother’s eye, let’s ask ourselves…”how free am I myself?” Do I follow the will of God daily, or do I perform works in the hope to please the God and Man who already did all that needed to be accomplished to gift us with our salvation? Do I resist temptations everyday to be religious or to follow the precepts of man, or do I yield to the Spirit of God and seek a personal relationship with Him? Jesus said “My sheep hear my voice” . Is your priest’s voice, or Doyle’s voice, so loud that it drowns out that still small voice that is the only One we are to take instructions from?
Obedience is better than sacrifice. Religious people honor God with their lips, but their hearts are far from him. Before pointing the finger at another group of people, let’s ask God to deal with the heresies in our own families. We may be surprised at the hypocrisy that He reveals to us, coming from our own hearts.
Then God can be the ONLY One to say…”I told you so”...
“I sent my Son with my message of deliverance, and to set the captives free!”
That message is loud and clear… once the blinders are removed.
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it”- Matthew
I am religiously opposed to religion- Victor Hugo

| Catholic Leadership Hypocrisy By Dennis Domrzalski Last edited: Sunday, May 23, 2004 Posted: Sunday, May 23, 2004 |
| It was a blast growing up Catholic. Knowing that we were members of the only true church and the only people who could get into heaven made us feel superior and cocky.Whenever we were on the losing side of an argument with kids of different religions, we would just end it by saying they would burn forever in hell—no matter how good of a life they lived.By contrast, we knew we could shoplift, vandalize property, swear, smoke, drink, and think impure thoughts and still be saved because we could go to confession and have the black spots removed from our souls. A quick Act of Contrition mumbled out, or even said silently, had the same effect of cleansing us of sin, and so we weren’t afraid of eternal damnation, and thus we went blissfully about being young jerks.By the seventh grade, though, we had it with the propaganda and the nutty rules. At that young age even we realized that it was insanely and sinfully unfair that kids who were in different religions because of choices their parents made would burn forever in hell. So we started ditching Sunday mass, and from that point on, none of us were really Catholic. It’s a good thing. Because if we were, we’d be storming the Vatican and archdiocese headquarters with pitchforks, torches and sledge hammers, screaming that the church’s leaders are hypocrites, liars and vilest of pigs.
And we’d be screaming that people who subject themselves to any religion’s authoritarian rules are hopeless, pathetic dopes who aren’t worthy of freedom, and who jeopardize our freedom by mindlessly submitting to those rules. The latest garbage from the Catholic Church comes from its outposts in Colorado and New Mexico. A bishop in Colorado Springs has taken the pro-choice/Communion controversy to a new extreme, saying that Catholics who back politicians who support abortion rights, gay marriage, stem cell research and euthanasia should not take Communion. In New Mexico, a Catholic high school, apparently prompted by extremists, has fired a teacher with 33 years of service to the school because he told students they wouldn’t be damned to hell for missing one Sunday mass. Bishop Michael Sheridan of Colorado Springs has issued the most insulting statement. Not only has he said that Catholics who support abortion rights candidates can’t take Communion, but that they must publicly recant their “sin” before they can again receive the host. “It might take a public recantation,” the rule-loving Sheridan said in a recent interview. Well, here’s news for Sheridan: Why? Because this is America, the land of the free, not some feudal, medieval society where political and religious leaders use rules, authority and myths to keep people down. We’re not modern-day Saudi Arabia where people are stoned to death for breaking religious rules. We’re not sixteenth century England where people are beheaded for minor theft. We’re not a people who take seriously the pronouncements of religious bureaucrats, most of whom have never had a real job. We’re people who think for ourselves. In Albuquerque, the Archdiocese of Santa Fe fired a St. Pius High School teacher because a student complained about his teaching. And what did the teacher, Michael Fitzgerald, tell the kid? That no single act would send a person to hell because God looks at “the fundamental orientation” of a person. If you constantly strive to do good, you will get to heaven, even though you might stumble quite a few times along the way. Most people would probably agree with that. But the idiot bureaucrats in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe couldn’t see the benefit of that common sense view, and so they fired Fitzgerald. Archbishop Michael Sheehan has obviously forgotten the story of Mary Magdalene, the thief on the cross and the other examples of God’s immense capacity for forgiveness. But that’s typical of religious bureaucrats. They really don’t care about saving our souls, they just want our mindless obedience—and our money. So give them neither. Stop contributing to the Catholic Church and to any other religion you belong to. Let the bureaucrats get real jobs like the rest of us. Don’t listen to their stupid pronouncements, whether they’re a priest, archbishop, rabbi, ayatollah, minister or mullah. Tell them that religious oppression has no place in America because we are free men, free women and free thinkers who are disgusted by their efforts to control us. And tell them this: The torches have been lit and the pitchforks are being passed out. And not even a public recantation will save them.

filthy rags
October 11, 2009 · Leave a Comment
4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit- Titus 3:4-5
I received an e-mail yesterday asking me who I thought I was, to judge others. I thought I answered that question in my prior article- I am just a sinner, saved by grace, and washed by the Blood of the Lamb. I cannot “do” anything to save myself, and it is not me who judges. I posted the above verse, and will not comment on it, because I will then be accused of “interpreting” the bible. This reminds me of a time a long time ago. I had a friend who refused to work, wanting others to take care of him. I quoted the following verse to him:
“If a man will not work, he shall not eat.” 2 Thess 3:10
My friend replied: “well, that’s YOUR interpretation!”
I have heard that “interpretation” nonsense for years now. That is just an excuse to keep on in rebellion against the Word, and do our own thing. Why read the bible if everyone has their own interpretation? Well, if you stop interpreting it yourself, and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you, you may actually get the answers you are seeking and the help and grace we all need.
And, yes, that does take humility. Our flesh can do nothing to save us, and the sooner we figure this out, the faster God can deliver us of our filthy rags and make us whole.
…and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags —Isaiah 64-6

Jesus- The Prince of Peace
October 12, 2009 · Leave a Comment
My old and good friend, Bob Robinson, recieved this letter from our president and forwarded a copy of it to me today. I started to think about the efforts, over the centuries of the numerous men and women who have attempted to bring peace to our nation and to the world. All of their efforts are in vain if the Prince of Peace, Jesus, is not the One who ministers that peace. There are wars and rumors of war today. I have read websites accusing Obama of being the anti-Christ, and ministering a false peace. There is a false movement in our religious circles called the Emergent church. They seek to have peace with Muslims, Buddists, and all other religions. I even recieved an e-mail this week-end with the following statement:
So Isabelle keep on believing, and spreading the Gospel, but stop beating on the believes and the ways we worship God, who by the way, is the same God than the muslins, and the jews.
Once, again, I have to quote a scripture that I mentioned a few posts ago: “My people are destoyed for their lack of knowledge”…
The god of the Muslims is NOT the same god as the god of the Jews. That is why they are at war! The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob gave the Jews their land. The god of the Muslims wants to take it away.
The God who true Christians worship is the One who sent His son to save us, and bring us peace . Most Muslims and Jews deny this and reject it. They not only deny this in word, but in action, just like most religious people. There are some Messianic Jews who do worship the same Jesus we do…the One that was raised from the dead. My friend Todd Baker is one of them. You can read more about his mission here:
http://www.brit-hadashah.org/newsletters/BHM2003_02.pdf
From Todd’s newsletter:
In Genesis 13:15 we have the first mention in Scripture stating that
God gave the land of Israel to Abraham and the Jewish people forever. This
truth is reiterated throughout the rest of Scripture and establishes the
rightful owners of the land to be the Jews granted by divine right. There is
Anyway, here is the letter from our president. I pray that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, opens up this man’s eyes and heart to minister peace, by His Spirit, with power. Any other efforts will be in vain.

Subject: A call to action
| Robert –This morning, Michelle and I awoke to some surprising and humbling news. At 6 a.m., we received word that I’d been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009.To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who’ve been honored by this prize — men and women who’ve inspired me and inspired the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace.
But I also know that throughout history the Nobel Peace Prize has not just been used to honor specific achievement; it’s also been used as a means to give momentum to a set of causes. That is why I’ve said that I will accept this award as a call to action, a call for all nations and all peoples to confront the common challenges of the 21st century. These challenges won’t all be met during my presidency, or even my lifetime. But I know these challenges can be met so long as it’s recognized that they will not be met by one person or one nation alone. This award — and the call to action that comes with it — does not belong simply to me or my administration; it belongs to all people around the world who have fought for justice and for peace. And most of all, it belongs to you, the men and women of America, who have dared to hope and have worked so hard to make our world a little better. So today we humbly recommit to the important work that we’ve begun together. I’m grateful that you’ve stood with me thus far, and I’m honored to continue our vital work in the years to come. Thank you, President Barack Obama

joined to their idols
October 13, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Hosea 4:15 - Ephraim is joined to idols; leave him alone!
I woke up to those instructions in the middle of the night. One of Doyle’s play-wives requested that I delete her name from my e-mails and one of my relatives asked that we end our “religious” conversation. They are joined to their idols and I will leave them alone.
Here is part of a commentary I located which explains the verse above:
Ephraim- the ten tribes. Judah was at this time not so given to idolatry as afterwards. (like WOL?)
joined to- closely and voluntarily; identifying themselves with them as a whoremonger becomes one flesh with the harlot (Nu 25:3; 1Co 6:16, 17).
idols- The Hebrew means also “sorrows,” “pains,” implying the pain which idolatry brings on its votaries.
let him alone- Leave him to himself. Let him reap the fruits of his own perverse choice; his case is desperate; say nothing to him (compare Jer 7:16). Here Ho 4:15 shows the address is to Judah, to avoid the contagion of Israel’s bad example. He is bent on his own ruin; leave him to his fate, lest, instead of saving him, thou fall thyself (Isa 48:20; Jer 50:8; 51:6, 45; 2Co 6:17).
4:12-19 The people consulted images, and not the Divine word. This would lead to disorder and sin. Thus men prepare scourges for themselves, and vice is spread through a people. Let not Judah come near the idolatrous worship of Israel. For Israel was devoted to idols, and must now be let alone. When sinners cast off the easy yoke of Christ, they go on in sin till the Lord saith, Let them alone. Then they receive no more warnings, feel no more convictions: Satan takes full possession of them, and they ripen for destruction. It is a sad and sore judgment for any man to be let alone in sin. Those who are not disturbed in their sin, will be destroyed for their sin. May we be kept from this awful state; for the wrath of God, like a strong tempest, will soon hurry impenitent sinners into ruin.
Unless we repent of our idols, whether they are a religion, a man, or anything else that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, we can expect to reap the fruit of our perverse choices.
Meanwhile, there is a remnant of God’s people who He is raising up all around the world who is thirsty for the truth. They want One King, and One Lord, and are sick of their religious ways. Are you one of them? To find out, take the test below:

…and more Catholic lies- straight from the Vatican (updated 10/14/09)
October 13, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I was informed by a relative who recently made a trip to Rome that they visited the first Christian church. I was surprised by this statement as it certainly didn’t ring true to me. The Church of Rome distributes heresies as generously as they do penances and indulgences. So, I located this in Wikipedia:
At first, the Christian church was centered in Jerusalem, in an “upper room” perhaps where the Cenacle is today.
Folks, it doesn’t take much to see right through these lies, especially that we now have so much information available to us. Actually, the ONLY information we need is available to us in scripture, and in this case, all we need is a simple, basic understanding of the book of ACTS to know that this statement was a LIE, probably to attract tourist and MAKE MONEY!
Jesus said: you have made my house of prayer into a den of thieves
Now, THAT”S the truth!
Speaking of truth, that’s what the Apostle Peter preached as well. There are additional heresies in the Catholic church that Peter establised the church of Rome. If he did, it is certainly not the Catholic Church that exists today!
Peter preached a risen Christ , not Catholicism nor it’s precepts and sacraments.
When Peter preached to the crowd on the day of Pentecost the bible states that the hearers were “pricked in their heart” and asked Peter “what shall we do to be saved?”.
What did Peter tell them? Did he say “receive the sacraments of grace from an ordained ecclesiastical priest and you shall be saved”? No, he said this:
…REPENT, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Acts 2:38-39
Is that what is taught during the “masses” you attend? Or do they falsely teach that babies should be sprinkled shortly after they are born? Did Peter mention anything about a “Confirmation Ceremony” to recieve the Holy Spirit?
I didn’t think so…
Why did the promise change over the centuries?
Could it be that the churches Peter established changed instead?

to the Elect Lady of Plano
October 14, 2009 · 2 Comments
As someone who has known Doyle much longer than you have, I was still surprised at how biased your recent homage to the “Apostle of Plano” was.
One of the reasons I left Water of Life was not so much what was taught and revealed (which included some truth), but more importantly what was not divulged, but kept hidden behind the scenes. Your homage does not mention how Doyle fooled most of his congregation for 17 years into thinking that they were giving in obedience to God so that the Gospel could be preached worldwide. You didn’t mention that Doyle kept his relationship with the wife of another man conveniently hidden from the world because it would directly affect his income. You forgot to mention that the money that his followers contributed was used to finance his extracurricular activities, and a lifestyle matching his own for those who supported his little escapades .
Your expose on the virtues of your idol also failed to include the numerous families effected by the loss of loved one as a result of what Doyle taught and his pride, which he always referred to as ”faith”. You didn’t mention all the people who have abandoned his floundering ministry, the radio and television stations he used to brag about, and the satellite churches who used to support him as he was living his lies. You omitted to elude to the departed twelve Apostles that “God” raised up, so that your idol could pretend to have a ministry like Jesus’s.
You forgot to include how Doyle called for God to strike two men dead because they had married women that he had set his eyes on. There was no mention of the baby who was killed by her demonized mother while Doyle was busy chasing and groveling over a woman who later rejected him. He made of fool of himself and the gospel he claimed to preach, but you clearly forgot to include that in your latest attempt at damage control.
Kathy, you too have been manipulated like the rest of us. If you have an ounce of integrity, you will include both sides of this sordid story. If you are truly a minister of truth, the spirit of Jesus in you will reflect this in your writings.
The version of Doyle’ persona that you are attempting to present to the world is making you look almost as foolish as he is, if that’s possible. Many of us can read, and have enough boldness and courage to resist the warped version of reality that you are attempting to portray. Doyle has seduced and subtly bribed you into his little fiefdom and abused you spiritually with his twisted spin on who he really is and how he spiraled down to where he is today. Finally, you didn’t mention how many sincere people were ultimately disgusted by the gospel Doyle claims to be “his”, because he mixed truth with his selfish, fleshly desires.
A friend of mine recently sent me an article about prophets written by a man named Trygve Sandvik in 1959 . The article concluded with these words:
You can be a preacher in the power of the gifts you have, but you can only be a prophet in the power of the life you live.
Kathy, if you are going to write about the life Doyle lived, do so with integrity and in context. What you have done so far is exactly what religious people do with scripture. They pick and chose what is convenient or appealing to them, and leave out the verses they dislike or which offends them. Some of us can see right through this ruse.
We expect more truth and less spin in the future from the Elect Lady of Plano.

Mixing Pride with the Gospel
October 15, 2009 · Leave a Comment
For many years, I was taught that one must mix faith with the gospel for it to have any effect, or power, in our lives. We learned that when we doubted, this was sin, and doubt did not please God. We also heard that the first ones in the pit were the fearful and the unbelievers, and that fear was not faith. All of these things are scriptual, and I attempt to walk this way in my life today as I did when I first heard this.
The problem that many of us ran into is that what was presented to us as faith was nothing more than disguised flesh. What was evil was called good, and what was good was called evil. What was mixed with the gospel in too many cases was ego and pride. We followed a man as our example instead of Jesus. We immulated the creature more than the creator. We learned to mix lies with the truth…and call it faith.
I hear now that WOL is speaking quite a bit about another man, Smith Wigglesworth. I also hear that the focus is not on how he lived but what he taught.
What’s wrong with what JESUS taught and how HE lived? Is this not sufficient? One day when we come face to face with Him, He is going to ask us HOW WE LIVED! Will our answer be “like Davidson and Wigglesworth”?
Yes, we will also have to answer to Him about any lies which proceeded out of our prideful hearts as well. This was part of how each of us lived. God is true, and we are ALL liars.
Some, however, more so than others.
Timothy gave a powerful exhortation when it came to the gospel he delivered to those who believed. He proclaimed “guard what was committed to your trust”. He didn’t encourage anyone to mix their flesh with his message.
Gain is not godliness, friends. For years, I believed that people who walked in faith lead an affluent life of luxury. They had more than others, because their great faith had “overcome” the Jezebel to the point that their life of abundance was “overcoming” them!
Yes, we are to live an abundant life, and Jesus became poor, so that we might be made rich. But is that wealth proven by a new Cadillac, or a new house, or new clothes? Many people in the world have these. Does that make them rich the way Jesus ordained them to be? Did He take their poverty on as well when he hung on the cross too?
YES, but devine health and wealth are the result of a prosperous soul, not a huge bank account, or the family we were born in. He wants us to trust Him with all of our needs, and that includes clothes and houses and cars. That includes the physical needs of our bodies, as much as the spiritual needs of our souls. We are to trust HIM, and not our flesh for all of our needs. We are just as prosperous when we are delivered of lies as when He blesses us with a roof over our head. Unfortunately, many of us looked at the material blessings and allowed too many “passes” when it came to the lies, deceptions and omissions.
Looking back now, I can clearly see where the examples we looked to, and in too many cases, followed and immulated, were people who mixed their pride and ego with the gospel, and called this faith. We copied their actions and words, and soon, we were mixing our own pride with the truth too. When God blessed our acts of obedience, we became puffed up and felt entitled to more. After all, it was Our Great Faith which accomplished what God put ahead for us to do, and it was our Selfish Views, not our humility, which produced the false victories in our lives. What appeared to be faith was nothing but flesh and self approval. We gave to others and patted ourselves on the back for this. We ministered the truth and gave ourselves, and our faith, credit for what God was doing in our midst. The more this happened, the bigger our egos became inflated, and the more entitled to God’s mercies and gifts we believed we were.
It wasn’t until God bestowed His grace on some of us and judgment took place on others that the charade began to come to light and unravel. There are still some who can’t tell their left hand from their right. Those are the ones who still walk in “fake” faith, and they like it so. Pride comes before a fall, and for those who persist in mixing pride with the gospel, which is not another gospel, the curses spoken of in the book of Galatians will continue to judge and correct.
No, it’s not evil to have money. It’s evil to love it and depend on it and call that faith.

Swords, Worship and Affiction
October 17, 2009 · 6 Comments
These past few days, I have listened to three different people on the internet talk about “the sword”. Doyle’s daughter Kathy has a warning on her site about people who cause widows “affliction” and threatens them out of scripture and with God’s sword and wrath. (see www.doyledavidson.com)
My brother Steve Lumbley (see www.apostasywatch.com) also had a podcast about the sword, which He explains is the Word, which divides believers from unbelievers, truth from lies, mothers from daughters.
My new friend Rory (see www.preparehisway.com) wrote several pages on his site about how Christians are not to take up the sword, or weapons, to defend themselves.
So, after reading about the sword for the past few days, I have been contemplating how the Sword of Christ has effected my life personally. There are often conflicting views from people that are seeking God, and that is why we must pray and ask for guidance into all truth, so that we can personally walk in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
This week, my youngest son joined the National Guard. He made this decision on his own, and committed to serve and protect our country after seeking a criminal justice degree. He eventually wants to be a police officer. His dad and I had no input in this decision but I attempt to encourage my children in whatever they set their hand to do, regardless of what is in my own heart.
Of course, I had mixed feelings about this, as any mother would in these perilous times. Maybe you walk in perfect faith, but I am not there yet. I refuse to be in pride and call that “faith”.
I asked my son if he is prepared to kill someone if it became necessary. He paused and grinned, and looked at me. He said, “mom, what’s the worse thing that can happen to me? I get shot and go to heaven?”
He knew I was feeling uneasy about this. I’m not sure if this comment reassured me or not. But I certainly am grateful for the brave men and women who make that committment to fight for our freedom. Some Christians take the view point that we are not to take up arms against the enemy, and that when Peter’s ear was sliced with a sword, Jesus repaired it and preached against violence. I don’t believe it is His will for the Isreali army to just sit back and let their enemies take the land that God gave them. Yes, ultimately, Jesus will come and bring them the final victory. Until then, there are times when we must serve and protect ourselves and others, and there are numerous passages in the bible when God fought the battle for His people. At times, He used His people to wage those wars, and gave them strength and wisdom. David used a weapon against Golieth, and His God avenged him. I will pray that God does the same for my son. And for those of you who don’t believe it is “God” to pursue a degree, let me tell you, that degree won’t do anything for my son whenever he has to face evil or danger. Just because your son “walks by faith” and “believes the gospel” doesn’t mean that all of us who do have an education rely on it to provide and protect us. My degree has very little to do with how I earn my income today, or how God blesses me financially The pride that comes with those who claim to “believe” can be one of the heardest things those of us who spent any time at WOL will need to “overcome”. This will take much more faith than being blessed by an extra pair of shoes.
Now, Ms. Mai declared that God will use His sword against those that “afflict” her. I will remind Ms. Mai that much affliction came from her dad’s ministry against us who were naive and vulnerable, but seeking truth. It is not “affliction” to tell you the truth. Both you and my own mother seem to think that when people love y0u enough to encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, and not in man or your false religion, this qualifies as “affliction”. This is yet another attempt to scare or intimidate people into “backing off” from using that sword, which is His Word. David was not scared, and he faced Goliath. The “touch not God’s annointed” threat is no longer yielding the results it used to.
My mother recently used a similar tactic. She suggested I concentrate on my family (she meant my kids) and take care of them instead of “inflicting the sword” on others who want to worship God in their own manner. I responded that I am taking care of my family, and that includes her and dad. My daughter also suggested recently that I spend more time cleaning up around the house, and less time on the computer. The house that I pay for along with the bills that I pay, thank, you Jesus, and where she and her son live free of charge.
Speaking of ways people worship: as you may know, I have a son who plays college football. When they score, he and his teamates at times celebrate by stretching their arms out and leaping in the air, forming a cross with their bodies. This moment was captured recently in the Tyler paper. This may seem somewhat religious, and maybe it is (after all, this is East Texas!). Who am I to judge? But forming the letters “T.O” after a touchdown, having women dancing circles around you or dragging yourself on your knees and calling that “praising God” may not be God’s definition of worshiping Him in “spirit and truth” either.
The last verse above does not say that we must stop loving our family. We just can’t love them more than God. When we love someone, we tell them the truth, mom.
That includes you, Ms. Mai, No one is trying to “afflict” you, and no one is going to “perish by the sword”. That is coming out of your dad’s heart. You and the other women at WOL need to be delivered, and it is love to tell you all that.
So, off I go to clean my house and watch my son once again leap and praise God on the football field, as my other son leaves to praise God on the battle field. I am humbled by how God is yielding that Sword in our lives, as we each learn to discern evil from good, and good from evil. Tomorrow, my grandson turns two, and unlike last year, his daddy will be there to be blessed by this joyous event.
And of course, so will I.

The measure of faith- Warning to WOL!
October 19, 2009 · 1 Comment
I have been thinking for the past few weeks about comments made by The prophetess of Plano (not to be confused with the Elect Lady of Plano) To read more about titles whores, click here: http://preparehisway.com/weekly_blog/view/471/titles
As I was thinking about the recent comments made by Ms. Small, and the reasons why I left WOL, I also recalled the discrepancies between the version of Doyle’s arrest for Public intoxication compared to the version given by Lisa, another man’s wife, who claims that Doyle attacked her and choked her while yelling obscenities.
Someone lied in that situation. Either Doyle lied and he never attacked her, and “the devil” caused marks on her neck, or he LIED when he proclaimed that Lisa was a prophetess ordained by God. How can a woman, ordained of God, lie and become a slut (Doyle’s version)? Where was this in the bible? Either way, SOMEONE lied. and it was either the Plano Prophet or the Plano Prophetess.
Or, maybe, just maybe, the titles were a lie!
My reasoning has possibly been influenced by what I do for a living. I often have to decide who is at fault for an accident, and who violated the insurance policies my company sells. I also cannot judge people’s actions, and yet I am called on to make these decisions. I remember years ago, I became upset with a situation that did not seem fair to me. I was having to issue a payment on a claim I KNEW was fraudulent. I had another claim where the people involved were not at fault and did nothing wrong, but I had to deny theirs. In my frustration and self-righteousness, I spoke to my supervisor to let her know how I felt. She looked at me and said, you know, what goes around, comes around. Now that may sound like a very worldly thing to say, but the bible states that we reap what we sow. I realized then that regardless of my decisions, God was ultimately the judge in these peoples lives. I may not be around to see that judgment take place, but my emotions had nothing to do with this taking place. Now, I just bless people and do my job without letting my emotions rule me. Pride demands restitution or punishment. Humility accepts the fact that God is God, and we aren’t.
Back to some things I have been contemplating for the past few weeks. Here are some scriptures:
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
2 Corinthians 10 14-16 boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men’s labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly.
Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.
Based on the above, we are now hearing more lies from another false Prophetess of Plano. She claims that she “sucked the faith” out of others when she was desperate, or maybe because her own was too weak. Whatever her reasons were, this is yet another obvious attempt to gain favor with her idol, who despises weakness or doubt, while maintaining a rule over those with “less faith” (more sin). By “sucking the faith” out of others, this allows this false Prophetess to attempt to fill the qualifications of a true, holy Prophetess by deceiving those who fall for her lies. If she could read fifth grade, she would not think of herself more highly than she ought to think; but think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. She claims to have robbed other of their labors, and the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ in THEM, by her own will power. She has placed her will above God’s and her desires to “be somebody” ahead of the UNITY OF FAITH. As long as there is no unity in that group, there will be a few who rule the others by faking their “faith”.
That, folks, is evil and deceptive. How may more “passes” will you allow when if comes to your salvation? These titles are a sham and a farce. The gifts and the callings of God are WITHOUT REPENTENCE, but only if you can read 5th grade.
Warning: The faith she sucks may be your own!!!

Boasting in the Lord? warning to WOL
October 21, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Psalm 10:3- For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.
Psalm 34:2- My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
Psalm 94:4- How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
Proverbs 25:14- Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.
Proverbs 27:1- Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
There are numerous mentions of boasting in the scripture, and I just listed a few of them because boasting can be one of those things that God abhors, yet He rejoices when we boast in HIM, with a humble heart. I have heard much boasting over the years from people who claimed to be believing God, but the fruit in their lives and the results of their actions reflected otherwise. I didn’t often hear much boasting about how God overcame their works of the flesh, like jealousy or envy, lasciviousness, drunkenness, idolatry, or covetousness. The boasting that I heard was mostly about material blessings or healings, obtained only by those who walk in “perfect faith”. Since their faith was perfect, the law was not made for them, so there was no need to be redeemed from the works of the flesh, since there was no sin in them.
I have heard of people walking above their faith and the ”name it and claim it” group which ”confesses everything” they want to own and take possession of, even if it belongs to their neighbor or brother. They speak the right words and jump on those who don’t. They would probably jump on the Apostle Paul if he were alive today. He spoke to his trials, afflictions and illnesses, because he was not too PROUD to speak the truth and pretend everything was hunky dory, when it wasn’t. There are still several examples of this on the old WOL websites. People who condoned others for their doubt and unbelief have now perished. One young woman who blasted a co-worker for speaking words she didn’t agree with was judged by her own words. Even two people who led praise and worship and sang “you are the God that healeth me” are no longer around to sing the words they claimed to believe. Maybe they had their faith “sucked” out of them by the” true (arrogant) believers”?
There is a fine line between boasting in the Lord and boasting in our own faith or works. People are so nervous about what they say around others, because this exposes what is really in their hearts, no matter what their outside looks like. They say things they don’t truly believe to impress or gain favor from others, namely Doyle, who encourages this behavior. He calls it “preaching the gospel”. Maybe God just calls this LYING?
The problem, they eventually discover, is that you can’t fool God. You can say all the right words and proclaim all the wonderful things God has done for you, and will keep doing, because you are so righteous and you walk in faith, and still be in massive pride and unbelief. I am learning that it is safer and healthier to admit when we are in doubt or fear. God’s grace can then assist us in time of need. When pride is present, there is no room for that grace, unless repentance clears the way.
I am still having to repent from being someone who I wasn’t for many years, and saying what I was expected to say, to please others . God is not pleased with prideful behavior, especially when it is disguised by HIS words. God has much more mercy on an honest person who will admit they don’t believe or are afraid than one who proclaims something they don’t have the faith for. They are called hypocrites, and they just want to be seen of man.
I have not had the opportunity to hear the latest WOL message called “Life is stronger than death”. Maybe there will be more to say after doing so.

Boasting in the Lord- part 2
October 22, 2009 · 4 Comments
2 Timothy 1:9
who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
The above verse was quoted by Ms. Small to explain why life is stronger than death. She stated that her faith “changed” when God revealed this to her (in other words, it increased once AGAIN, to keep her faith, which she sucked from others, higher than everyone elses”)
So, why does that even matter? It’s not your FAITH, Ms. Small, that has earned you life. IT’S HIS GRACE! That is exactly what I have been saying. You hit the nail on the head, and don’t even know it, because you are too busy preaching the gospel of Doyle, which is the gospel of pride. Wollers don’t like the fact that we are all saved by grace. why? Because that means they are not any more special than the first Baptist up the street, who also received grace since before the beginning of time. If indeed, it was faith that earned us life, then why are all those Wollers 8 feet under? Did they not praise enough, believe enough, obey Doyle enough? Did they not say all of the right words? Why didn’t their great faith overcome all of their sin so that they could keep living forever?
Now, we also hear that Jane Downtain is getting better, due to their great faith. Again, who gets the credit? Certainly not God’s grace!
And WE are the ones who are called wicked?
They call evil good and good evil. Pride lies as it “ preaches the Gospel”. The words are true, but the spirit behind them is deception.

Giving Thanks
October 24, 2009 · 4 Comments

I awoke this morning with devout thanksgiving for my friends, the old and the new.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy — because we will always want to have something else or something more.
Saying thank you is more than good manners. It is good spirituality.- Alfred Painter
Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.

Some friends of mine on another website have been sharing things that we are grateful for in our lives. The grace of God and His mercies are new every morning. I was thinking recently about how for many years we heard religious people exclaim ”that’s not God!”…or “that’s God!”. I don’t think Jesus or those who followed him ever uttered those words. They knew that the father was with them always, guiding them to the ultimate victory.
When God is in our lives, we KNOW it. We don’t need to be informed of this. When we are in rebellion, we know this as well, but at times, we won’t acknowledge it.
I would like to share a few recent blessings that prove to me that God IS with us. There’s no need to say “That’s God”. He is there for all to see.

A CALL TO REPENTANCE- TO WOL

Ephesians 4:28
He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.
This message is to all of you who sit in blue chairs and believe God for Hummer Limos. You wonder why the world won’t hear your message and why your healings don’t take place “as promised”.
It’s not because “the world hates you like they did Jesus”. It’s because you have lost all credibility outside of your deceived little circle. I have been hearing how humbling it has been since Terry’s death, and all the affliction you all have had to endure due to your “righteousness”.
Well, here is a a challenge for you. Sell what you have, and give to the poor. Go to some third world country like India or Africa, and spend a year distributing to those who have no clue what a stretch Hummer Limo is. You can snub your nose at Mother Teresa or Brad Pitt or people who actually DO something useful with their hands and mouths, besides steal money or sing in a foreign country to be seen of man. So you impressed a bunch of rich Baptists…are they now flocking to hear your gospel, or have you turned them away even more from the message of the cross with your smug, self-righteous assertion that your god is only there to provide for your every whim???
So, Kathy Mai, show us what you are really made of…you’re strong and brave…while sitting in your comfortable blue chair. Put on a pair of jeans, and let’s see how strong and brave you and your girls really are while bathing an AIDS infested child. Terre B., you too are too good for us wicked people who afflict you with our mouths because we tell you the truth. Let’s see how much faith you really have clothing some slum people in Calcutta. And you, Kathie Small: Sell your Caddy and stop stealing, do something useful with your hands. Go to a wicked communist country and smuggle some bibles in to those who are thirsty for the truth. Please don’t open your mouth when you do so. Let them read for themselves before you start stealing from them too.
So, here is a challenge for you all. No, I am not telling you what to do. I am not your god. You will surely think that you are above these “dead works” and this certainly cannot “be god”. You will dismiss this as yet another wicked person condemning you for your righteous faith, since you are all an example to the Body of Christ. THOSE IS NEED are not your kids. They have more than most kids around the world. They have water to drink and cars to drive and a different outfit everyday of the week. No, I am not jealous. I forsook that life style, but I certainly do not pat myself on the back. Living simply and working with your hands is not a sign of unbelief. You will soon realize that dressing up to stand in front of a pulpit to speak to a handful of people to impress Doyle is nothing compared to the joy you can live by helping and believing for others besides YOURSELVES. And K. Currier, once you are through with the endless geneologies that profit and impress no one and only serve to inflate Doyle’s ego even more, how about being a Witness and Elect Lady to the nation of Israel and preach the gospel to the Jews door to door or in the streets like my friend Todd Baker does.
I may even go with you, if you’ll “have me”.
That, my friends, is the message of the Gospel. Not the perverted, twisted message you spew to extort from naive, vulnerable people in small country towns like Pineville or Joplin.
Jesus gave his life for his brothers, not to collect envelopes after the service to pay for stretch limos, and call that “faith”.
Show us your faith by your works, not your extortion tactics!
You may even gain some of your credibility back.

What a terrible time this is to be a Christian. The churches have failed and betrayed us, and the ministry preaches hate and murder. If there is a sane and reasoning voice in the Christian church today it is sadly silent- Francois Arouet
is it faith to understand nothing, and merely submit your convictions implicitly to the Church?
John Calvin
He who begins by loving Christianity better than truth, will proceed by loving his own sect or church better than Christianity, and end in loving himself better than all.- Samuel Coleridge

The church of this country is not only indifferent to the wrongs of the slave, it actually takes sides with the oppressors…. For my part, I would say, welcome infidelity! Welcome atheism! Welcome anything! in preference to the gospel, as preached by these Divines! They convert the very name of religion into an engine of tyranny and barbarous cruelty, and serve to confirm more infidels, in this age, than all the infidel writings of Thomas Paine, Voltaire, and Bolingbroke put together have done! -Frederick Douglas

If I were not an atheist, I would believe in a God who would choose to save people on the basis of the totality of their lives and not the pattern of their words. I think he would prefer an honest and righteous atheist to a TV preacher whose every word is God, God, God, and whose every deed is foul, foul, foul. -Isaac Asimov
God preordained, for his own glory and the display of His attributes of mercy and justice, a part of the human race, without any merit of their own, to eternal salvation, and another part, in just punishment of their sin, to eternal damnation.
John Calvin
You say grace before meals. All right. But I say grace before the concert and the opera, and grace before the play and pantomime, and grace before I open a book, and grace before sketching, painting, swimming, fencing, boxing, walking, playing, dancing and grace before I dip the pen in the ink.- G.K Chesterton

Perfection, in a Christian sense, means becoming mature enough to give ourselves to others.- Kathleen Norris
Christianity has been buried inside the walls of churches and secured with the shackles of dogmatism. Let it be liberated to come into the midst of us and teach us freedom, equality and love. Ninna Canth
When Jesus Christ asked little children to come to him, he didn’t say only rich children, or White children, or children with two-parent families, or children who didn’t have a mental or physical handicap. He said, “Let all children come unto me.” -Marian Edelman

Positive traits of those who have been abused
October 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment
My friend Wendy Duncan sent us a list of traits that many abuse victims demonstrate. No, we do not want to remain ”victims” and there are so many “negative” lists out there, I found this one encouraging and in most cases, pretty accurate. Although my past has included physical, emotional and spiritual abuse, I realize that dwelling on those incidents and rehashing the past is not the most effective way to be delivered. Yes, there are times we need to express, talk, write, pray, and question. But there also comes a time to proceed, progress, heal, share and overcome.
- Compassion & Empathy: Having survived cultic abuse, you may be readier to empathize with someone else’s grief. It’s easy to see the difference between the care and concern our commenters show each other and the hurtful sarcasm so prevalent in the blogosphere.
- Analytical Thought: Most former cult members who go through conscious recovery — whether with a professional or on their own — think deeply about their core concerns. Duped in the past, you may exercise keen judgment and discernment so it never happens again
- Social Activism & Altruism: Perhaps you joined a cult to seek spirituality or social justice. This often remains a core value after you leave. You may go on to political activism, cult activism, involvement in charity through your church or other organizations.
- Survival: Don’t overlook the simple fact you survived cultic abuse with your mind and body intact. Celebrate this every day.
- Courage: This is particularly true if you walked out on your own. And it’s present to the nth degree if you are an adult child of cult members. You never knew another way of life and may have lost your family and friend support network when you left. Yet you still left — and stayed out.
- Resourcefulness: Anybody who leaves a cult demonstrates a high-degree of self-reliance, resourcefulness, and independence. These strengths are strong pillars you will build a new life on.
- Skills: Don’t overlook the skills you learned in your cult. Perhaps you learned a craft or profession. Using them after you leave is an ultimate revenge on the cult. But nearly everyone in a proselytizing group learned how to speak articulately and passionately. These are skills that are invaluable in career and family life.
- Sense of Humor: Freud termed this a “high-level defense” and praised its value for meeting life’s challenges. In the cult, maybe we relied on sarcasm and other hurtful speech. But our commenters here show a gentle, playful sense of humor that is life-supporting.
- Optimism: People who throw off their cults’ shackles are among the most optimistic people I know. You show a realistic view of the amazing possibilities of life now lived in freedom.
- Gratitude: It’s easy to be grateful for every day lived when you recover from repression, fear, anxiety, depression, harsh judgment, and the other cult-life realities.
- Honesty & Trustworthiness: Many of us react strongly to the lies, fraud, and even criminality we participated in when in our cults. You may now resolve to live with a high-degree of honesty and integrity.
- Openness & Reflectiveness: These come with time. Many people first leaving a cult are closed down and suspicious. But you may come to live transparently, share experiences and feelings, and fearlessly reflect on them consciously.
- Inquisitiveness & Willingness to Explore: Did you become involved with your group because you were open to new things? After leaving, bolstered with increased analytical thinking, your openness is an attractive quality many people are drawn to.
- Fearlessness: Many, many of my clients go on to start businesses, go back to school, begin writing books, and much more. You may be eager to grab your “second chance” and head in new directions.
- Flexibility: In our cults, we learned at least two cultures, two languages. There was the language of the group — and then there was the language of “straight” society. Use that situational flexibility to further your career, develop new social skills, raise your kids. (What parent doesn’t have to be flexible?)
- Ability to Cope with Difficulties: The pressures you experienced in your group may make you more able to handle stressful situations. It feels great when you stop beating your head against a wall! And handling the normal strains of mainstream life seem like nothing after the cult.
- Use External Challenges as Stimulus for Growth: You may be more conscious about turning bad things into good things
- Intelligence & Creativity: The truth is cults attract the intelligent and creative. They can’t use the weak. Some of the brightest and most creative people I’ve known were in my group. Freed from cult repression, you can go on to a remarkably successful career.
- Curiosity: Perhaps the same child-like curiosity — in the best sense — that led you into your group will lead to a rich and fulfilling life outside.
- Ability to Find Meaning Even in Adversity: You may find spiritual — or social/secular — meaning in what you endured.
- Sense of Direction & Purpose: Perhaps because you are keenly aware of time lost in the cult, you can seek new purpose more intensely.
- Ability to Grieve: You will say goodbye to the trauma — and integrate the good things about your cult — through conscious recovery. Despite what critics may say, most former cult members do not dwell on the past and do move on. I wish the same for all reading this!

The Law according to Doyle- To the kids at WOL
October 31, 2009 · 2 Comments
20Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21(Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? - Corinthians 20
Why, you people at WOL, are you subject to the ordinances of that man Doyle? Are you not dead with Christ to the rudiments of the world?
Can you not read that those ordinances and rudiments of Doyle’s world, disguised as “the gospel” will cause you to perish?
How many times has Doyle taught you what to do and not do? Did he not recently tell a young man to stay away from other kids at school? Does the young man’s mother not discourage the father of her granddaughter to stay way from his child so she can keep control of her kids and grandkids, much the same way Doyle does? Do you not see and hear the law that is being ministered to you in the shape of a false gospel?
The true gospel brings liberty to the hearer. Doyle instructs you who to marry and not marry. Who to associate with and not associate with. He tells you what to taste, handle and touch. He says one thing, but does another. He tells you where to go, when to go and who to go with. He does this by telling you lies to puff you up. Like “you may be a prophet”, or “you will preach the gospel one day”. Do you know how many people he has said that to before you???
He says these things to keep you BOUND TO HIM!
Maybe you ARE a prophet, and maybe you WILL preach the gospel one day. But not because Doyle said it. God is well able to bring it to pass. Or, he may bring it to pass in the life of one of those ”wicked” kids you go to school with, who doesn’t sit in a blue chair. Who is really leading you astray?
Doyle puts you under HIS law, and calls it grace. He ministers HIS gospel, and calls it truth. He controls you with HIS will, and calls it “God”.
Doyle’s law is made for you, because you are not righteous as long as Doyle is your god. As long as you belong to Doyle, you’re not a child of God. NO LAW is made for a righteous man. You CANNOT walk by faith as long as you live under Doyle’s law. You can stand behind a pulpit and produce audios and dance and sing for the rest of your wasted lives…but that will not change the fact that as long as you are under Doyle’s law, you are also under Moses’s. At least Moses got his law from God. Where did Doyle get his?
From his own heart!
That’s why the grace and mercy of God is gone from that place.
The law of Doyle produces death. Look around you at all the empty chairs, if you can take your eyes off of your idol for a minute.
The just shall live by faith, not by the law of Doyle. The Law of Doyle shuts up faith.
The Law of Davidson is not made for a righteous man.
Are YOU righteous?

For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them
As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich Jeremiah 5:27
Speaking of riches, the Apostle Paul warned: supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6But godliness with contentment (not jets and limos) is great gain.
7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
17Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
18That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE THE LAW, ACCORDING TO DOYLE and his FALSE FOUNDATION of uncertain riches?
Or does that sound like the liberty to enjoy God’s TRUE RICHES freely?
Who is really leading YOU astray?

the gospel: an instrument that destroys sin
November 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment
“Whatever religion or doctrine condones or makes allowances for sin is not of Christ. The Doctrine of Christ everywhere teaches self-denial and mortification of worldliness and sin. The whole stream of the gospel runs against those things. Scripture emphasizes the ‘holy’ and the ‘heavenly’ (not the sinful and the worldly). The true gospel has not even the slightest tendency to extol corrupt nature, or feed it’s pride by magnifying it’s freedom and power. And it rejects everything that undermines or obscures the merit of Christ, or tries to give any credit to man, in any way. And it certainly never makes the death of Christ a cloak to cover sin, but rather it always speaks of it as an instrument that destroys it!” – John Flavel
***********
“The nature of Christ’s salvation is woefully misrepresented by the present-day evangelist. He announces a savior from hell rather than a savior from sin. And that is why so many are fatally deceived, for there are multitudes who wish to escape the Lake of Fire who have no desire to be delivered from their carnality and worldliness.” A.W Pink
************
I am suspicious of professing Christians who speak of their faith only in terms of the reward they will receive. If someone talks of going to heaven more than about reigning with Christ by overcoming their flesh, I wonder about their spiritual state. People like this don’t usually speak of how precious Christ is to them or how much they love him because he has freed them from the power and penalty of their sins. All they see is the reward and not the rewarder. I fear for people like this and believe they are likely products of easy-believism ‘I said a prayer when I was eight and I’m forever saved’ kind of shallow theology that is so prevalent these days.
Our evangelism of the lost must also include re-evangelism of those who have been victimized by unbiblical outreach efforts of modern Christianity.

shock and awe from the pulpit
November 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment
American Christendom has birthed a disturbing new trend with today’s wave of ultra-hip pastors who unabashedly spew foul language from the pulpit and openly discuss various sexual acts in lurid detail with their congregations. Allow me to share a nugget of wisdom from Charles Spurgeon that all these shepherds of God’s sheep should heed.
We need the divine influence to keep us back from saying many things which, if they actually left our tongue, would mar our message. Those of us who are endowed with the dangerous gift of humor have need, sometimes, to stop and take the word out of our mouth and look at it, and see whether it is quite to edification; and those whose previous lives have borne them amoung the coarse and the rough had need watch with lynx eyes against indelicacy. Brethren, far be it from us to utter a syllable which would suggest an impure thought, or raise a questionable memory. We need the Spirit of God to put bit and bridle upon us to keep us from saying that which would take the minds of our hearers away from Christ and eternal realities, and set them thinking upon the groveling things of earth.
This is precisely what Noah Webster had in mind when he was working on his revision of the King James. This is a quote from his preface:
“Language which cannot be uttered in company without a violation of decorum, or the rules of good breeding, exposes the scriptures to the scoffs of unbelievers, impairs their authority, and multiplies or confirms the enemies of our holy religion.”

Another gospel
November 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment
A couple of days ago, I wrote about the Law according to Doyle and I quoted some scriptures out of Timothy about prosperity and how that false, materialistic “gain is Godliness“ gospel snares those who fall for it and pierces their hearts with many sorrows.
Today, I ran across this video and it surely blessed me to hear this man speak the same scriptures, and the same message about this false gospel. I thank God that He confirms His Word and encourages His servants in the truth.

A rare insight into life inside a religious cult
Australian Broadcasting Corporation
Broadcast: 27/10/2009
Reporter: Rebecca Baillie
Two Australian brothers have written a rare insight into life on the inside, and on the outside, of an extreme religious cult, where the members worshipped a woman who claimed she was god.
Transcript
KERRY O’BRIEN, PRESENTER: Cults are a social phenomenon, probably as old as religion itself. The perennial question remains: how do otherwise intelligent people let a charismatic guru control all aspects of their lives, sometimes with catastrophic results?
Now, two Australian brothers have written a rare insight into life on the inside and on the outside of an extreme religious cult where the members worshipped a woman who claimed she was god. Rebecca Baillie reports.
REBECCA BAILLIE, REPORTER: David and Margaret Ayliffe are people of faith. While they’re now parishioners at a mainstream Anglican church on the outskirts of Melbourne, for nearly two decades they were members of an extreme religious cult.
DAVID AYLIFFE, FORMER CULT MEMBER: It was horrible. I can understand, with the doomsday cults where people commit suicide because the leader says to do so.
MARGARET AYLIFFE, FORMER CULT MEMBER: We got into the habit of living a whacky kind of life. I think we were so young and naive, I don’t think the warning bells really rung loud enough for us to sort of really – to get out.
REBECCA BAILLIE: David and Margaret Ayliffe met in the early 1970s when they joined an Anglican church in Sydney’s Surry Hills. This church had been disowned by the Sydney Archdiocese because it regularly performed exorcisms.
MARGARET AYLIFFE: People were lying on the floor and sort of coughing up into little ice cream buckets.
DAVID AYLIFFE: And suddenly, you know, they start shaking or quivering, all kinds of things are happening, and you’re think to yourself, “There’s a power here at work, and that power is God.”
REBECCA BAILLIE: It was at that Surry Hills church that David and Margaret Ayliffe first encountered Violet Prior, who went from casting out demons to leading a group she named Zion Full Salvation Ministry.
DAVID AYLIFFE: She claimed in the latter part of 1976 that she had the stigmata. She had marks in her hands and in her feet.
REBECCA BAILLIE: By 1977, Violet Prior had convinced her followers that she was God.
DAVID AYLIFFE: You know, I should have known better. I should have had my eyes really opened. But by that stage, I’d accepted everything along the way. And, to me, this was just, you know, it was just the next step.
REBECCA BAILLIE: Violet Prior controlled every facet of her devotees’ lives, striking the fear of God into them if they tried to leave.
DAVID AYLIFFE: Violet would say, “If you leave me, I will kill you, and I will kill your wife and children first, and you will see them die agonising deaths before your eyes. And I can do that because I’m God.”
MARGARET AYLIFFE: It was a time when I had the melanoma and she told me to put a banana skin on it. Finally, though, when it was a bit bad, we actually got – we were very fortunate to get into a specialist very quickly, and I was lucky to escape with my life. I really am lucky to be alive.
DAVID MILLIKAN, UNITING CHURCH MINISTER: Oh, she was a fully blown cult leader. There’s no question of that. She had no conscience about basically destroying people.
REBECCA BAILLIE: Violet Prior became increasingly more deluded and reclusive. She fleeced her followers of all their money and set up an impenetrable fortress in Sydney’s exclusive Palm Beach.
DAVID MILLIKAN: A group becomes destructive when it takes on a posture of extreme hostility to the world outside its doors, when it isolates its members from family, friends and from the surrounding culture.
REBECCA BAILLIE: Only her closest disciples were permitted to visit the inner sanctum. David Ayliffe was one, and he visited this house up to three times a week. His wife Margaret only ever came here once, to cook for Violet Prior and to do her washing.
In 1989, Violet Prior was arrested and charged with fraud. When she appeared at Manly Local Court, David Ayliffe was at her side. The charges were dropped because it was impossible to either prove or disprove her outrageous claims. Two years later, David Ayliffe discovered Violet Prior’s body in her Palm Beach fortress.
DAVID AYLIFFE: Yeah, the witch was dead. It’s weird: I lay there at night listening for noise. And she was dead, for Heaven’s sake! You know, so, yeah.
REBECCA BAILLIE: What were you thinking she might do?
DAVID AYLIFFE: Well, I mean, if she was God, then, you know, she might have come back again, you know.
JOHN AYLIFFE, BROTHER: His mind had been taken over. As I said, it doesn’t start out as mind control, you know. Good people aren’t gonna let themselves be taken over just like that. It’s a creeping thing.
REBECCA BAILLIE: John Ayliffe had to wait two decades for his younger brother to come to his senses. They’re now reconciled, but at the time, as David and Margaret Ayliffe got more and more deeply committed to the cult and its leader, they cut off their friends and family on the outside.
JOHN AYLIFFE: I think everybody was pretty devastated. It’s a devastating thing, you know, to be shunned.
DAVID AYLIFFE: It was just so wrong, but the fear was so great, this is what I was called to do. Absurd, isn’t it?
DAVID MILLIKAN: People who join cults are strong, creative, well-educated, middle class people.
REBECCA BAILLIE: Reverend David Millikan has dedicated a quarter of a century to infiltrating, understanding and busting cults.
DAVID MILLIKAN: I see a lot of Christian groups, but I also see a lot of New Agey sort of groups that go off in all sorts of directions. Really, I’ve come to the view that there’s nothing so mad in this life that someone doesn’t believe in it.
ADRIAN NORMAN, FORMER CULT MEMBER: There is pressure to behave in a certain way and there is a leader, then very, very dangerous things can happen.
REBECCA BAILLIE: Adrian Norman joined what he describes as a self-development cult when he was 19 and stayed for seven years. He won’t publicly identify the group for fear of being sued, but insists it’s leaders brainwashed him and took his money.
ADRIAN NORMAN: There are activities that dampen down the ability to think critically, and at that point you enter into a trance. In that altered state of consciousness, new beliefs can be implanted.
REBECCA BAILLIE: Adrian Norman has made a documentary for high school children which warns of the dangers of groups that apparently offer its members the world.
ADRIAN NORMAN: It’s really about what you can do to find out about groups that seem to be offering something too good to be true. ‘Cause usually they are.
REBECCA BAILLIE: The Ayliffe brothers are now catching up on many lost years. They’ve written a book together about surviving life on the inside and the outside of a cult.
JOHN AYLIFFE: If you lose somebody to a destructive cult, there are three things to remember. The first one is: don’t fight them. The second one is: give them love. And the third one is: be patient.
REBECCA BAILLIE: For David and Margaret Ayliffe, theirs is a cautionary tale which has ultimately had a happy ending, but it’s cost them and their family 20 years of their lives.
MARGARET AYLIFFE: When you get a bit lovey dovey and starry-eyed, you don’t see a lot of things that you should really see.
DAVID AYLIFFE: Never, never, no matter where you are let somebody else take over your – your ability to make decisions. It doesn’t matter who it is. Because the moment you do that, you’re on very dangerous territory.
KERRY O’BRIEN: To view extended interviews with David and John Ayliffe, just go to the website. Rebecca Baillie with that report.

The gospel of the Kingdom vs the gospel of Doyle’s Kingdom
November 3, 2009 · Leave a Comment
“Par la grâce qui m’a été donnée, je dis à chacun d’entre vous de ne pas avoir de prétentions excessives et déraisonnables, mais d’être assez raisonnables pour avoir de la modération, chacun selon la mesure de foi que Dieu lui a départie.” Romains 12:3
Romans 12:3For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.The above verse instructs us not to have “unreasonable and excessive pretensions” and to live in moderation, each according to his measure of faith. The gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven is the good news pertaining to the establishment on earth of a corporeal kingdom which will rule and reign for one thousand years in fulfillment of God’s covenant to David (2 Samuel 7:8-16). 8 “Now then, tell my servant David, ‘This is what the LORD Almighty says: I took you from the pasture and from following the flock to be ruler over my people Israel. 9 I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men of the earth. 10 And I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed. Wicked people will not oppress them anymore, as they did at the beginning 11 and have done ever since the time I appointed leaders over my people Israel. I will also give you rest from all your enemies. As Christians, our task is to preach the gospel of grace to all people. The return of the Lord Jesus is not solely dependent upon the success of his church to fulfill this prophecy, though it is their mandate to disciple the nations (Matthew 28: 19-20). The fulfillment of the prophecy regarding the second coming of Christ is the prerogative of God alone. And the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14) Yes, Doyle brought some of us the Gospel of Grace originally, that Jesus died, was buried and rose again the third day. But he then tried to incorporate that Gospel of the Kingdom, which is the prerogative of God alone. Reigning and ruling for one thousand years is the Gospel of Doyle, who now claims he is not mortal like the rest of us. He has forsaken the Gospel of grace, which results in his thoughts, which are higher than they ought to be, and has lived way above his faith. He now claims that the “apostles” who he appointed will return to HIS ministry to preach HIS Gospel. Doyle insists that he will bear a son from his own body (read Samuel above) and that wicked people oppress him. He is walking and preaching a kingdom that is above his faith and imposing his will on God’s. Even taking other men’s wives and wishing for their husbands to die, like David did, is another example of his deep deceptions. He is once again displaying unreasonable and excessive pretensions. He is preaching the wrong gospel, and unless he repents and returns to the original Gospel of Grace, he will continue to make a fool of himself and those who follow him blindly. Doyle is not David, and his gospel is no longer the Gospel of Grace. It’s the gospel of the Kingdom of Doyle. |

the FULL gospel: good news for WOL!
November 4, 2009 · Leave a Comment
“Gospel” derives from an old English word meaning “good news.”
The Gospel is the good news that we have forgiveness of sins through Jesus. Specifically, the gospel is defined by Paul in 1 Cor. 15:1-4: “Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”
The gospel comes from God (Gal. 1:10-12), is the power of God for salvation (Rom. 1:16), is a mystery (Eph. 6:19), and is a source of hope (Col. 1:23), faith (Acts 15:7), life (1 Cor. 4:15), and peace (Eph. 6:15). “
The good news is also called “the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24).
But the good news doesn’t stop there! The gospel is also Good News of the Coming Age of the Kingdom. “Aionios” in Greek means “to do with the coming age.” “The aionios Gospel is not in Christian language the ‘everlasting Gospel,’ but ‘the Gospel concerning the Kingdom-age’”
Believing the gospel encompasses both believing in Christ as well as believing what He said . Millions believe that He came as their Savior and now lives eternally as their soon-coming King, while rejecting the very message He brought to save them! What a paradox!
It ought not to be possible to claim the Great Commission as one’s marching orders and then to propagate a Gospel shorn of its most fundamental element — the Kingdom of God. But this appears to be what Doyle and many others have done. No sooner have they read Matthew 28:19, 20, the Great Commission, than they leap to their favorite verses in Romans and Galatians, forgetting that Paul in his letters assumes a lot of Gospel information already held by his audience, for whom he was not presenting the Gospel for the first time.
There is a very great danger that major elements of the Gospel can be eliminated if we rely on condensed statements from Paul’s epistles. The method is flawed and the Gospel is distorted. Elements of the Gospel which do not fit into the “received” account of the Gospel (“what we have always preached”) are quietly ignored and discarded.
Doyle then replaced these discarded elements with the gospel of HIS kingdom. Yes, he proclaims the gospel of grace. But he also mixes it with the gospel of HIS Kingdom. He encourages others to mix faith with the gospel, but he is actually preaching the gospel of grace and adding it to the gospel of HIS kingdom instead. This kingdom is to be ruled by an imaginary heir to be raised by his imaginary wives. This kingdom is a figment of his imagination and narcissist delusions.
It’s a false gospel, folks. From such…turn away!
Wol, you are being held captive and have been decieved into loving your captivity! Heresy is not always easily detected because Satan usually camouflages the lie with a large measure of truth. He is a master of deceit. Because you are now so ignorant of the true God, Satan can tell you virtually anything, and you will believe it. He subtly twists the intent of a scripture to bend it into a wrong application or understanding. At other times, he will appeal to your vanity to get you to react to his suggestions without thinking.
You think that, when someone accepts heresy, he will “leave the church.” That may occur on some occasions, but this confuses hairesis (heresies) with apostasia (apostacy). Apostasia means “to depart from truth”! One can remain in an organization and be departing from truth all along.
Another factor in most heresy is that it offers something appealing to human appetites or vanity. This includes those titles that Doyle has bestowed on most of you.
But here is more good news! Loving the truth so intensely that it motivates us to pursue it carefully and diligently—so much that we make it an operative part of our everyday life—will prove to be the difference between being saved and perishing in the years to come.
Proving all things is so much better than lazily accepting the word of someone who appears to be trustworthy.
It’s never too late to repent and believe the good news of the Grace of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God, not Doyle, which is the TRUE, FULL GOSPEL!

I received an e-mail today…

I received an e-mail today and I am posting it below, along with my response.
60 Seconds With Jesus
For the next 60 seconds, set aside what ever you’re doing and take this opportunity! Let’s see if satan can stop this.
THE (SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUS
At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to the death penalty.
At the time crucifixion was the “worst” death. Only the worst criminals condemned to be crucified. Yet it was even more dreadful for Jesus, unlike other criminals condemned to death by crucifixion Jesus was to be nailed to the cross by His hands and feet.
Each nail was 6 to 8 inches long.
The nails were driven into His wrist. Not into His palms as is commonly portrayed. There’s a tendon in the wrist that extends to the shoulder.. The Roman guards knew that when the nails were being hammered into the wrist that tendon would tear and break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support himself so that He could breath.
Both of His feet were nailed together. Thus He was forced to support Himself on the single nail that impaled His feet to the cross.. Jesus could not support himself with His legs because of the pain so He was forced to alternate between arching His back then using his legs just to continue to breath. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the suffering, the courage.
Jesus endured this reality for over 3 hours.
Yes, over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind of suffering? A few minutes before He died, Jesus stopped bleeding.
He was simply pouring water from his wounds.
From common images we see wounds to His hands and feet and even the spear wound to His side. But do we realize His wounds were actually made in his body. A hammer driving large nails through the wrist, the feet overlapped and an even large nail hammered through the arches, then a Roman guard piercing His side with a spear. But before the nails and the spear Jesus was whipped and beaten. The whipping was so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. The beating so horrific that His face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The crown of thorns cut deeply into His scalp. Most men would not have survived this torture.
He had no more blood to bleed out, only water poured from His wounds.
The human adult body contains about 3.5 litres (just less than a gallon) of blood.
Jesus poured all 3.5 litres of his blood; He had three nails hammered into his members; a crown of thorns on his head and, beyond that, a Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into his chest.
All these without mentioning the humiliation He passed after carrying his own cross for almost 2 kilometers, while the crowd spat in his face and threw stones (the cross was almost 30 kg of weight, only for its higher part, where his hands were nailed).
Jesus had to endure this experience, so that you can have free access to God.
So that your sins could be “washed” away. All of them, with no exception! Don’t ignore this situation. JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOU! For you, who now read this e-mail. Do not believe that He only died for others (those who go to church or for pastors, bishops, etc).
He died for you! It is easy to pass jokes or foolish photos by e-mail, but when it comes to God, sometimes you feel ashamed to forward to others because you are worried of what they may think about you.
Accept the reality, the truth that JESUS IS THE ONLY SALVATION FOR THE WORLD.
God has plans for you, show all your friends what He experienced to save you. Now think about this! May God bless your life!
60 seconds with God…
For the next 60 seconds, set aside what you’re doing and take this opportunity! Let’s see if satan can stop this.
All you have to do is:
1. Simply pray for the person who sent this message to you: Lord, you know the life of _________. I ask You to bless him/her in all things and make him/her prosperous. Take care of his/her family, his/her health, his/her work and all his/her future plans. Lead him/her not into temptation, but deliver him/her from evil. In Jesus’ name, amen.
2. Then, send this message on to others.
3. These people will pray for you and you will make that many people pray to God for other people.
4. Take a moment to appreciate the power of God in your life, for doing what pleases Him.
Yes, I love God. He is my source of life and my saviour. He keeps me alive day and night.
Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me”. Philippians 4:13.
This is the simple proof. If you love God and you believe and trust in salvation through Christ Jesus, send this to all those you love.
*********
my response:
14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.
My heart has turned to wax;
it has melted away within me.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;
you lay me in the dust of death.
16 Dogs have surrounded me;
a band of evil men has encircled me,
they have pierced [my hands and my feet.
17 I can count all my bones;
people stare and gloat over me.
18 They divide my garments among them
and cast lots for my clothing.
Prayer for my Catholic friends:
Lord, you know the life of these deceived Apostates . I ask You to bless them in all things by delivering them from these religious heresies. Lead them not into temptation, but deliver them from the evil of man made religion and false idols.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

Rom. 16 : 17 — mark them, avoid them
2 Cor. 6: 17 — be seperate
Titus 1: 13 — rebuke them sharply
2 Thes. 3: 6 — withdraw from them
Eph. 5: 11 — reprove them

errors and omissions
November 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment
errors and omissions n. short-hand for malpractice insurance which gives physicians, attorneys, architects, accountants and other professionals coverage for claims by patients and clients for alleged professional errors and omissions which amount to negligence.
I have been thinking about this term for the past few hours. It is one we use occasionally in the field which I am employed in. It seems to be applicable to our spiritual lives as well.
Over the years, how many times could the “ errors and omissions” clause been applied to the things we were taught and accepted as truth? I reflected back on when I was a child and taught by nuns. I remember being taught about Joan of Arc, who was referred to and worshipped as a Saint. I still remember the little rhyme we learned:
Jeanne D’arc est ne a Do-Re-mi
JOAN OF ARC WAS BORN IN DO-RE-MI
c’est les englais qui l’on trahit
IT WAS THE ENGLISH WHO BETRAYED HER
elle est morte a 19 ans
SHE DIED AT 19 YEARS OLD
sur la place D’ orleans
ON THE SQUARE OF ORLEANS
So where are the omissions? Well the nuns conveniently forgot to also teach us about other events which took place around that time period. Such as the massacre of Saint Bartholomew. It wasn’t until decades later that I read a book about these events, and began to understand why this horrific part of history was omitted from our books and lectures. It also explained the resistance that many ex-Catholics face when leaving the church of Rome behind.
Things have not changed in our churches and behind our pulpits today. We hear what tickles our ears and what appeals to our emotions and intellect. A man can discuss intimate details of his life, and yet omit the 17 year affair he had with another man’s wife, right under the nose of his congregation. The error is not corrected, and no repentance takes place. Instead, it is covered by a lie, and the man, still behind the pulpit, continues to perpetuate the lie with more lies to this very day.
There is no accountability for this type of spiritual negligence in our society.
There is One, however, who is the Judge of this whole world, and He will do right. He looks at the heart of man and judges accordingly.
“Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God.” (Luke 11:42)

Keys to the kingdom

Matthew 16:15-19 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

The words above are a commentary I located regarding the verse in Matthew. Many religions and ministries, like Catholicism or WOL, attempt to establish their own kingdoms and decide who’s sins are absolved and who’s are not. They also decide what is lawful and what is not. They establish their own Kingdom ,and in the case of Catholicism, point to Peter as the foundation of their “church”.
However, like He did with Simon Peter, God is well able to reveal Himself to us and establish His kingdom in us as well. Like Peter, we can state the way of acceptance and salvation. It is God only who can absolve or retain sin.
Who will be handed the keys to the kingdom of WOL? Is the foundation of that group a man (Pope Doyle) , or Christ?
Only time will tell.

The root of all evil
November 15, 2009 · 3 Comments
“La vie d’un homme ne dépend pas de ses biens, même s’il est très riche.” Luc 12:15
Luke 12:15-19Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry. But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God. The bible contains good advise regarding finances. More than half of the parables addressed the issue of money, or mammon, or material possessions. In fact, Jesus spoke more about money than he did heaven and hell. Les êtres humains sont toujours plus importants que les biens matériels.
People are always more important than material objects. When we put our affections on money, we end up using people. Mieux vaut acquérir de la sagesse que de l’or, de l’intelligence que de l’argent- Proverbs 16:16 |
Proverbs 16:16
How much better to get wisdom than gold,
to choose understanding rather than silver
Many groups or religions today are more focused on acquiring gold and silver, houses and cars or other material objects, and neglect those who are hurting inside. When individuals are stuggling with divorce, abuse, neglect, violence, depression and other challenges, do they really need to hear how “God” gave ”someone with more faith” yet another material object to flaunt and boast about? Jesus showed compassion and wisdom, and didn’t abuse His power or authority. He didn’t build up a ministry of possessions, he established loyalty and a following that was built on a solid foundation of compassion and love for His brothers.
Too often, spiritual and emotional abuse take place when the wrong kingdom is being established. People like Dena Schlosser and her family suffered at the hands of negligent, self absorbed individuals whose focus was more on their own desires or acquisitions than a “demonized” mom crying out for help. They are busy building bigger barns to store their grains and goods. When people prosper or are healed because of “their gospel”, they take the credit. When people fail or die, it was because of the “demons” in or attacking that person. They will use every means possible to justify their actions to themselves and to the world.
Jesus never blamed his failures on the devil. He was not too busy filing his barns to help a person in need. When will a true servant of God finally establish a ministry on the earth like His?
… And who will get all of those possessions that those foolish false prophets have acquired unto themselves?

Deliverance

Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments. Exodus 6:6
I thank God every day for deliverence from religion and the hands of wicked men. He sent Jesus to set the captives free and to give sight to the blind, to heal the broken hearted and those who are bruised.
Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
Exodus 23
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22

Isaiah 22:25
In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness. Jeremiah 22:22
Isaiah 46:2
They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Isaiah 5:13

That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. Deuteronomy 30:3
And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. Jeremiah 29:14
Jeremiah 30-3 For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.→ 2 CommentsCategories: To My Catholic Friends · Uncategorized
People are more important than things
November 21, 2009 · 2 Comments

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it
I woke up this morning with those words in my heart. “people are more important than things”. Usually when this happens, I will seek the scripture and write whatever God is showing me, but today, there is no scripture. Those exact words are not found in the bible.
Maybe the fact that I wrote about how Dena Schlosser was neglected by greedy people surrounding her and having heard Doyle talk about how he pushed her away recently is still weighing in my spirit. Doyle proudly announced that he kept her at arm’s length as she was demonized, and then the following night, his play wife gets up behind the pulpit and reads about Smith Wigglesworth who commanded demons out of a woman, and they never returned.
I recall many years ago as a young child, we used to visit my grandmother’s sisters in Brest, France. They would serve us tea and cake, and they had beautiful, old silverware. I was about 5 years old, and one day, the aunts accused my mother and grandmother of not training me properly, as I had allegedly bitten into one of the spoons and this resulted in teeth marks in their old silverware.
Over a decade went by before the aunts ever spoke to their sister and niece again. Being devout Catholics, forgiveness was not in my family’s vocabulary, but even as a child, I knew there was something wrong with this situation. We were to ignore half of the family if we ran into them in public. It was in their old age that they finally reconciled, and I thought it was so sad to waste so many years over something so insignificant. Not long ago, my mother asked me if I would like to have some old family silverware. I told her I have no need for it.
I am also reminded of many years ago, when I forsook a dream job overseas to come home and be a mother to my children. I never regretted that decision. Doyle may reprimand people for putting children first, but the love of money is the root of all evil… not the love of people. Doyle is just like that old aunt that coveted her silverware. “His ministry” was more important than Dena and her baby. He continually “casts out devils” from the select few, some for over 25 years, but the one woman who really needed help was ignored and cast aside. Doyle was too holy for her.
Now, as my parents are getting older, it is in my spirit to spend time with them. Unlike my children who needed me when they were young, they are healthy, self-sufficient, and very mobile. But still, they are more important than things. No, Doyle, I don’t worship them. Unlike you and your parents, I will not cast them away in their old age. They are more important than chasing after the lusts of our flesh and the pride of life.
A few days ago, I was informed I will have a mediation on Wednesday in Houston. That puts me where I need to be to spend time with my daughter and her family who live there and spend the holiday with them. God obviously approves of the time spent with my children, as he makes a way, time after time, for me to visit and continue to be part of their lives, regardless of their ages , our finances, or distance between us.
Speaking of worshiping your children, I have enough faith in the way I raised them to allow them to decide who they want to spend their lives with. I may not agree with their decisions at times, but neither do I try to control them. I also love them enough to allow them to branch out on their own and provide for themselves and not depend on me for their every need, once they become of age. I am not a fifty something year old woman still depending on her daddy, who she refers to as God. If you truly loved your daughter and grandaughters, you would let them go, and put an end to their idolatry.
Thank you, Doyle, for delivering me from my religious heritage and teaching me the definition of the gospel. But now, it is time for me to take this gospel and live it. Not sit on it. Not make a new religion out of it. I will not turn away from it as I grow old, because I did learn it from you, and my children will not either, and neither will theirs. For us to do this, we must first be delivered from the hold you have had on us for so long, and still maintain over those who sit under you.
It is a simple lesson, Doyle, but one that I pray you learn and take to heart in your final years. People ARE more important than things. Even if that thing is a ministry like Jesus’s.
He put people first, and THAT is where you failed.

Husband Testifies in Case of Woman Who
Cut Off Baby’s Arms
Tuesday, February 14, 2006

McKINNEY, Texas — A woman accused of killing her infant daughter by cutting off the girl’s arms had said a few days earlier that she wanted to “give the baby to God,” her husband testified Tuesday.
Dena Schlosser, 37, was leaving church about a week before the girl’s November 2004 death when she said she wanted to give Maggie to pastor Doyle Davidson, John Schlosser said.
“She said, ‘I want to give the baby to Doyle.‘ She said ‘I want to give the baby to God,”‘ said Schlosser, who has filed for divorce.
Those chilling words are a sober reminder of how Doyle has manipulated many of his followers into confusing him with God. This false prophet continually reminds those who sit under him that he is the voice of the Almighty and has been for over 40 years. His recent rants to convince his followers to “give to God” is no different than the ultimate sacrifice that Dena presented, much like Abraham presented his son in obediance to God. Except that Dena had God confused with the devil, who operated in a man, and who now wickedly denies or downplays his involvement with this situation. As much as he would like to convince the world that he was blameless, Dena obviously thought otherwise. She sacrificed her daughter to the devil in Doyle who she believed was God, and Doyle does nothing to convince anyone otherwise. He won’t repent, as doing so would require humility and result in the final nail in his ministry’s coffin. It is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance anyway, and God ran out of goodness when it comes to WOL, years ago!
So, as you write your tithe checks out to the devil, disguised as a man, ask yourselves…who am I really giving this money to? Would God do the things that Doyle does with YOUR money? Would God support a handfull of women who get up behind the pulpit and state “God wants me to share this with you today”, when they actually, like Dena, have God confused with a false god named Doyle? Do you sacrifice your children’s wellbeing and happiness on Doyle’s alter? The enemy wants to keep you in bondage and will stoop as low as to use your children to do so. He offered up the world to Kathy Small, and she fell for the wiles of the enemy, at the expense of her family and marriage. It’s the devil who comes to kill babies, steal wives, and destroy marriages. Not God!
“I cut her arms off,” Schlosser replied as a gospel song (sang by YOU WOLLERS and lead by Terry Mai) played in the background.
Stop the madness you deceived people! You give unto the devil’s bosom so that he can continue his work of destruction. You listen to a woman who has never had to believe for a meal in her life tell you that her trust is in God, when her dad is the one paying her bills, with YOUR money!!! Your money supports another woman, who also has God and Doyle confused, who claims that she is Doyle’s wife so she can forsake her family, collect YOUR MONEY and justify her selfish “faith”. Wake up and smell the abuse! The devil is after YOUR FAMILY as well! He will not stop until his mission is complete.
Ask Jack Small. Ask J.R Staton. Ask John Schlosser. How much money do you think these men gave to the devil’s bossom before he was through with them, and wanted them destroyed?
The next family victimized may be your own.
RIP Maggie Schlosser

“that place really screwed you up”
December 5, 2009 · 2 Comments
I was talking to my mother a few days ago on the phone and she often brings up my past iniquities. She’d rather dwell on those than what God is now doing in my life, and that’s okay. I have told her years ago that I only have ONE judge. What man think’s is not my priority, but I still owe her my respect and do consider what she has to say.
She made a comment, referring to WOL, and she said…”that place really screwed you up”. The call then dropped and I was left with that comment, which I have thought about frequently lately.
Did that place really screw me up? And if so, is God not well able to “fix” me? The real question is…what does God think? … and that is what I have been asking Him. After all, if I’m screwed up, what will that do to my kids and grandkids?
So, as I continued to seek him, several things are becoming clear. I did screw up when I trusted in a man and created my whole life around his teachings and the daily routine that was established for us to follow. We are cursed when our trust is in a man. I screwed up by sitting silent and rarely voicing my objections or questions when things didn’t ring true. After all, who was I but a scared little bound up Catholic girl with no understanding of scripture to question a “man of God” who walked perfectly before the Almighty most of his life?
There was a reason I allowed myself to be deceived. I know this and am repenting of it. My family, on the other hand, is still bound to religion, and refuse to acknowledge this or be delivered. They can point to my deception but are blind to their own. I WAS deceived, and maybe some deception remains. But my daily routine has now shifted. I take my grandson to the park and we feed the ducks instead of spending hours listening to “the man of God” instruct us in righteousness. Instead of listening to A MAN a prophet, or a priest, I listen to THE GOD who created me to speak to Him directly all along.
It is the middle of the night and my grandson woke us both up, coughing and congested. We have been extremely busy at work, and next week, I will be traveling to both Houston and San Antonio, and I too have been feeling drained physically this past week, and have not slept well. I tried to give him some children’s medicine in his bottle and he was not having it. I prayed silently a few minutes, and he went right back to sleep. Where did l learn to trust God? Not from the Catholic church whose faith is in the doctrines of man! Not from WOL who puts their trust in a man who plays god. Yes, that place did screw me up, but my trust in God is well able to get me unscrewed, just like He uncongested my grandson. Which is more than I can say for many others. They are suffocating in their own mucus because they won’t believe they are sick.

Fire in my bones
December 12, 2009 · 4 Comments
(Jeremiah 20:9) But if I say, “I will not mention him or speak any more in his name, his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.
|
“No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us” (1 John 4:12, NLT). |
There exist many scriptures that encourage and instruct us in ways to express our love and reverence for the Almighty. I am noticing more and more how very few mention assembling ourselves or gathering and forming a ministry. Those verses about that fire in our bones and expressing God’s love for one another are edifying to those of us who are being led in paths of righteousness one-on-one during our personal walk with our Creator. Since joining Facebook, I am overwhelmed and blessed with the messages of love from people in my past, as well as others who have become part of my life more recently.
I have heard words of caution about being careful of those who can view or abuse personal information. I am a firm believer of being all things to all people and not acting one way with one group and another way with another. I share pictures and events in my daily walk, not to be seen by man, but to show forth what God is doing in the life of someone who was once spiritually abused and that much stronger for it. I am not ashamed of this gospel, and what better way to show His love for us and the fire in our bones for HIM, than by sharing the message of His gospel with others .
A friend of mine recently posted some comments and mentioned the sins of others that Doyle feels so compelled to expose. No one has the right to remind us of our sins or command or demand that we repent. I know I have done this in the past, and have suggested that WOL repents of its pride, self righteousness and idolatry. It is the goodness of God which leads us to repentance, not a man, even if he thinks he is God’s mouthpiece.
Yes, the Holy Spirit can use others to minister to us, or correct us. But to bring up the iniquities of our past is a job for the enemy. Jesus is well able to show us our hearts and our shortcomings, without condemnation. The fire in some people’s bones is not the divine fire described in the verse above. It’s the fire from hell that has their tongues and minds ignited.
Only a busybody will meddle in someone’s personal life. It’s certainly not the love of God which is shed abroad by these enemies of Jesus, it’s gossip and slander. Yes, Doyle is often a target when it comes to ridicule, but he placed himself in that position by boasting daily and publically to being a “man of God”. The fire shut up in his bones is no longer the gospel. It’s a consuming fire of hate, revenge, viciousness and maliciousness, fueled by his pride and self-loathing. He is weary of holding it in, and indeed, he cannot. I personally don’t care to hear about the sins of others. I see it daily on the job or watching the news. Doyle and his crew have forgotten to dwell on whatsover is pure and lovely.
Those who are in the flesh cannot please God!

Today, if you hear His voice…
December 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment
(Hebrews 4:6-7) It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience. Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
The verse above is a warning to those of us who have heard the gospel. We can chose to follow Jesus or disobey and follow a man or a ministry. Many chose to harden their hearts by following a man, and never enter into His rest.
“Petits enfants, gardez-vous des idoles (des faux dieux), de tout ce qui peut occuper la place de Dieu dans votre cœur, de toutes sortes de choses qui se substitueraient à Dieu et qui pourraient prendre sa place dans votre vie”. 1 Jean 5:21
Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. 1 John 5:21

What Jesus taught and did
December 17, 2009 · Leave a Comment
“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”
(Genesis 8:22, KJV).
While at WOL, we frequently heard about the spiritual laws that God set in place and that effect us all, whether we believe of not. But often, God’s natural laws were ignored, seen as wicked, or called “lies”. Gravity was a lie. Tornados were of the devil. Cancer was caused by demons. Curses caused illnesses to be passed down through several generations. Unbelief resulted in sickness.
“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him” (John 9:3 NLT).
We were taught that God could use a man to bless us financially, but not heal us. Doctors walked in witchcraft, but those who “gave” were being led by the Spirit. People who lived off of the giving of others were blessed, but those who were healed by doctors were in sin and unbelief.
I recently wrote a post about people being more important than things. Jesus taught this to us by example. When it came time to obey the Father and Peter confronted Jesus about what was about to happen, Jesus told Peter, or more specifically, that spirit in Peter, to get behind him.
Laying down His life for his fellow-man was His priority, because that was the Father’s will. Jesus was not concerned about how these events would affect his ministry. His bothers came first and not his lusts. He obeyed the Father in everything He was commanded to do. The Father never led him to make false prophesies, or to take what was not his to take. The Father never led Jesus to pursue material gain to prove his “faith”. Jesus’s faith was demonstrated by walking in love and laying down his life for us.
As Doyle makes plans to hit the airwaves once again, his intention to teach on what Jesus taught and did should be an interesting contrast to what Doyle taught and did. Undoubtably, Doyle will stick to his favorite twisted verses which strengthen his position and justify his perverse actions. Yes, Jesus healed the sick, cast out devils and raised the dead. But to claim that Doyle has walked in the steps of Jesus and performed these works because he put the will of God first in his life is yet another heresy that will become evident as he attempts to compare his walk with God to the way Jesus obeyed His father.
Unlike his alleged example, Doyle and his selfish desires have always come first. These lusts have been disguised as a “ministry like Jesus’s”, which, once the blinders are spiritually removed, can be seen by the world as a royal failure fueled by pride and deception.
What did Jesus do with people such as these? He exposed them and chastised them. He called them names and commanded them to repent and follow Him, not their flesh. His enemies eventually crucified Him, but that did not stop Him from performing the will of His Father. He was our example and He gained the victory.
He showed us, by His actions, what truth was, and His Word, when revealed to us by His Spirit, does not need a puffed up egomaniac to teach us what He taught and did.
It is an insult to the gospel for Doyle to compare his walk to what Jesus taught and did.

Spongebob defeats Robot once again
(Revelation 1:18) I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.
People who are prideful often give themselves more credit than they are due. One example of this is when folks try to convince other folks that they can “retain” your sins or dismiss them. The two cults I belonged to for the majority of my life claimed to be able to do this. They also claimed to have extra-biblical revelations and made comments such as “medicine is witchcraft” or “pray to Mary so she can forgive you of your trespasses”.
The truth is that only Jesus can absolve us, and only HE holds the keys to eternal life. Don’t let anyone fool you or manipulate you. Your salvation depends on no one but you and Jesus. Work out your OWN salvation daily, and don’t depend on anyone else to do it for you.
Yes, faith comes by hearing the Word…by the Holy Spirit, not by a man who claims to speak on His behalf. No one else can proclaim “I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! “
So why follow anyone else?

A different Gospel
December 19, 2009 · Leave a Comment
The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
I was just reading an article on my friend Steve Lumbley’s website about the legacy of Oral Roberts who passed away this week. The author makes some good points about those who preach the health and wealth gospel, and he pointed out that many people who have heard this message, including people overseas where countries have been “evangelized” by these promoters claiming to be apostles and prophets, have left their followers confused, mislead, and turned way from the truth. The article states:
the message of the cross–an atoning sacrifice for sins wrought through Jesus’ sufferings–frankly doesn’t mesh very well with the notion that God guarantees health, wealth, and prosperity to the righteous. Our fellowship in Jesus’ sufferings (Philippians 3:10), and our duty to follow in His steps (1 Peter 2:20-23), are likewise antithetical to the core principles of prosperity doctrine. The prosperity message is a different gospel (cf. Galatians 1:8-9).
In many places today, including some of the world’s most illiterate and poverty-stricken regions, Oral Roberts’ Seed-Faith concept is actually better known than the doctrine of justification by faith. The message of prosperity is now the message multitudes think of when they hear the word “gospel.” Countless confused people worldwide think of the gospel as a message about earthly, temporal, and material riches rather than the infinitely greater blessings of forgiveness from sin and the eternal blessing of the believer’s spiritual union with Christ.
So, is the Jesus who you claim to serve a Sugardaddy Jesus who rains jets and limos and clothes and houses on you and the other ”elect” who also endorse this “greed disguised as faith” gospel? Do the people who minister to you and claim to be the Voice of God manipulate you by continually reminding you that the bible states God set first in the church Apostles, and secondarily Prophets…but yet they preach a different gospel than the one Jesus demonstrated when He layed down His life for us ?
The bible states those who killed Him cast lots for His one remaining possession, and He was buried in a donated grave. When is the last time you heard you favorite ”faith” Apostle teach THAT? The love of money is the root of all evil. There was no evil in Jesus. Those who proclaim a different gospel do so because of the evil in their hearts, and the root of it is the love of Mammon, their true god.
What will happen to the millions of dollars and deceived followers Oral Roberts leaves behind as a result of his extortions and the preaching of another, more popular “worldly” gospel?? We have been warned to be leery of those who come proclaiming a different message.
Why is it so difficult for us to recognize them when they are staring us in the face? Maybe because they forget to “promote” certain verses while they continually revert to their favorite few? Because they convince us that faith comes by hearing…their subtle words of another gospel…their “good news” of prosperity and healing, void of the true gospel of forgiveness and repentance. Some, like Doyle Davidson, may attempt to incorporate the resemblance of truth in their “health and wealth” gospel, but their actions give them away. Their hatred for those who oppose them and their lack of humility and repentance are the true signs of what their pompous hearts are really full of. Only God knows what is in a person’s heart, but He also has ways of revealing those things to us who ask for the truth, in faith, and are learning to test all things and discern these imposters. I am finding that faith for discernment is much more profitable than faith for a new car or granite countertops.
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 1 Timothy 6:17-
Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? James 2:5

Justice for Michael- A prayer
December 27, 2009 · Leave a Comment
During this holiday season, it has been in my heart to pray for my friends and relatives, past and present, and I occasionally log onto www.defendmichael.com to get an update on my High School friend Vicki Behenna’s ordeal. The site has a two part article by the Los Angeles Times about the events that took place involving her son Michael. I ask that you join Vicki and I in praying for justice. I too have two sons and in the words that my friend stated in the article:
“As long as there is breath in me, I’ll tell your story,” Vicki said.
There is a picture of Vicki and I in high school elsewhere on this blog.
I give thanks for these brave men and women who fight so hard for our freedom. The government in this case does not appear to want to hear the whole truth about this incident, and are discarding crucial evidence as “not relevant”. The fact that our religious leaders act the same way, and close their eyes to the truth while preaching their “name it and claim it” messages only validates the scripture that righteousness exalts a nation. Our nation is being judged and what is good is called evil and what is evil is called good. The wings of the eagle are being plucked, and I ask for the mercy and grace on all of us to bow our knee to the King of Glory.
Lord, I ask that you forgive us of our unrighteousness and lawlessness. I ask that you forgive this nation of its greed and injustice, materialism and deceptions. I pray that justice prevails and that your true, humble servants be lifted up to execute righteousness in this land, with courage and integrity. I thank you that you dwell in us to perform your mighty works and that you uphold your servants to honor and magnify your Holy Name. I pray this for my own sons, for Vicki’s sons, and for all men everywhere, that they put the honor of God first, and not the honor of man.
I ask this in Jesus’s name,
Amen

Rebuking American History as we know it.

A French Connection
Long before the Pilgrims sailed in 1620, another group of dissident Christians sought a haven in which to worship freely. These French Calvinists, or Huguenots, hoped to escape the sectarian fighting between Catholics and Protestants that had bloodied France since 1560.
Landing in balmy Florida in June of 1564, at what a French explorer had earlier named the River of May (now the St. Johns River near Jacksonville), the French émigrés promptly held a service of “thanksgiving.” Carrying the seeds of a new colony, they also brought cannons to fortify the small, wooden enclosure they named Fort Caroline, in honor of their king, Charles IX.
In short order, these French pilgrims built houses, a mill and bakery, and apparently even managed to press some grapes into a few casks of wine. At first, relationships with the local Timucuans were friendly, and some of the French settlers took native wives and soon acquired the habit of smoking a certain local “herb.” Food, wine, women — and tobacco by the sea, no less. A veritable Gallic paradise.
Except, that is, to the Spanish, who had other visions for the New World. In 1565, King Philip II of Spain issued orders to “hang and burn the Lutherans” (then a Spanish catchall term for Protestants) and dispatched Adm. Pedro Menéndez to wipe out these French heretics who had taken up residence on land claimed by the Spanish — and who also had an annoying habit of attacking Spanish treasure ships as they sailed by.
Leading this holy war with a crusader’s fervor, Menéndez established St. Augustine and ordered what local boosters claim is the first parish Mass celebrated in the future United States. Then he engineered a murderous assault on Fort Caroline, in which most of the French settlers were massacred. Menéndez had many of the survivors strung up under a sign that read, “I do this not as to Frenchmen but as to heretics.” A few weeks later, he ordered the execution of more than 300 French shipwreck survivors at a site just south of St. Augustine, now marked by an inconspicuous national monument called Fort Matanzas, from the Spanish word for “slaughters.”
With this, America’s first pilgrims disappeared from the pages of history. Casualties of Europe’s murderous religious wars, they fell victim to Anglophile historians who erased their existence as readily as they demoted the Spanish settlement of St. Augustine to second-class status behind the later English colonies in Jamestown and Plymouth.
But the truth cannot be so easily buried. Although overlooked, a brutal first chapter had been written in the most untidy history of a “Christian nation.” And the sectarian violence and hatred that ended with the deaths of a few hundred Huguenots in 1565 would be replayed often in early America, the supposed haven for religious dissent, which in fact tolerated next to none.
Starting with those massacred French pilgrims, the saga of the nation’s birth and growth is often a bloodstained one, filled with religious animosities. In Boston, for instance, the Puritan fathers banned Catholic priests and executed several Quakers between 1659 and 1661. Cotton Mather, the famed Puritan cleric, led the war cries against New England’s Abenaki “savages” who had learned their prayers from the French Jesuits. The colony of Georgia was established in 1732 as a buffer between the Protestant English colonies and the Spanish missions of Florida; its original charter banned Catholics. The bitter rivalry between Catholic France and Protestant England carried on for most of a century, giving rise to anti-Catholic laws, while a mistrust of Canada’s French Catholics helped fire many patriots’ passion for independence. As late as 1844, Philadelphia’s anti-Catholic “Bible Riots” took the lives of more than a dozen people.
The list goes on. Our history is littered with bleak tableaus that show what happens when righteous certitude is mixed with fearful ignorance. Which is why this Thanksgiving, as we express gratitude for America’s bounty and promise, we would do well to reflect on all our histories, including a forgotten French one that began on Florida’s shores so many years ago.

God’s Workmanship
January 7, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
I was deceived for many years by wicked men who led me to believe that we could not perform good works. Jesus said to call no man “good”, so “being or doing good” was not possible, since we all had wicked hearts of unbelief. But the verse above states otherwise. We were created to perform things in this earth and God prepared these good works in advance for us to do! My heart rejoices in reading these words and in accepting that God has a plan for those who love Him, and not even His evil enemies can sidetrack those who seek Him with a sincere heart.
I never went to college to become a Claims Adjuster. Most people don’t. When I opened my bible one day at church in 1985 and found an ad clipped from a newspaper for a job as a french speaking Canadian Claims Adjuster, I knew it was right to call the number. I started my new career a few days later. I was the fourth person hired at this new company and a few years later, we had over 400 employees. The claims were overnighted from Canada, and most of our insureds didn’t even realize their losses were processed in Dallas as they were processed in french. Eventually the company moved to Florida, and a decade later, I ended up accepting a position with one of the top Auto Insurance companies in the nation. I was there almost five years, and those were not very fond memories. I had two bosses who were not fair, and I was met with much resistance. The battle was fought daily and I was learning to pray, believe, and overcome. I eventually left in frustration, but on my terms, and took a one year break from claims.
Today I work for another young, growing Insurance company. I am the oldest employee on the whole 7th floor, in a beautiful building in Turtle Creek, and my job is much easier and enjoyable than it was a decade ago. I have never lacked income and have worked steadily since I left college. I use my language skills daily (especially spanish, my fourth language, which I learned in Germany). I am finally realizing that these were skills that God blessed me with as He had a plan for my life and He is the One who equiped me to do my job. I am not ashamed of the power of God in my life, and no longer consider it “flesh” when we are gifted with talents and skills to properly do our jobs. He also blessed me with a sense of what is right and just, and a hunger for the truth.
About a year ago, I came to work one day, and there was one of my old bosses that I did not get along with ten years earlier at a former company. He was now going to be my new boss. He had been let go from the prior company for drinking on the job. He lasted a month here, before the same thing happened. He was found drinking in our parking garage, and was gone the next day.
Last week, I came to work, and the second boss I did not get along with a decade earlier was there. He was once again to be my boss. I was not thrilled when I found out, but I was informed that he also was let go from the prior company and that he was now much more humble. I walked into a meeting and he turned and saw me, and his face registered shocked that we had once again been thrown together. I shook his hand, smiled and greeted him with “Welcome to ______”. My supervisor, who knew how I felt, later told me that I handled this very professionally and with grace. God has a way of preparing our hearts for these moments and regardless of what man does or wants to do to us, He is always with us, protecting us and providing for our every need. He knows what equipment we need to do what He has called us to do, and prepares us for these challenges with the proper skills and talents, but more importantly, he prepares our hearts to withstand the wiles of the enemy. We are His workmanship to perform His works, and He calls them good, not flesh.
…and so should we.

More about Huguenots in U.S history
January 8, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Huguenot Founding Fathers
Huguenot Signers of the Articles of Confederation
Henry Laurens – delegate from South Carolina
Huguenot Signers of the U.S. Constitution
Alexander Hamilton (half Huguenot) – delegate from New York
Huguenot Representatives in
First U.S. Federal Congress (1789-1791):
Danie Huger – delegate from South Carolina
Thank you, Ms. Currier, for your recent addition in your research to one of these courageous men who shaped our history.
As I too conducted some research on the Huguenots, I was astounded to learn that a castle (Le Chateau D’Ambroise) which I visited last summer, and of which many pictures appear on my blog, is the very location that marks important history relevant to the Huguenots! As I read about their history, I could not believe the grace of God when I read the following words:
,,,the chateau became a favourite residence of the French kings. The discovery in 1560 of the “conspiracy of Amboise,” a plot of the Huguenots to remove Francis II. from the influence of the house of Guise, was avenged by the death of 1200 members of that party. In 1563 Amboise gave its name to a royal edict allowing freedom of worship to the Huguenot nobility and gentry.
I spent an afternoon there, not knowing that I was walking on the very ground where such rich history of what I believe today was established! I even chuckled to myself when I came upon a portrait which reminded me of someone in my past. I even took a picture - ![DSCN0921[1]](http://inalley.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/dscn09211.jpg?w=500&h=375)
I don’t believe in coincidence. Do you?
Trivia: Leonardo Di Vinci is buried in a small chapelle on a side of the Chateau.

escaping the snare
January 11, 2010 · Leave a Comment
Psalm 124:6-8- Praise be to the LORD, who has not let us be torn by their teeth. We have escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Over the years, one prayer that has come up repeatedly in my heart has been to petition the Lord to deliver me from the hands of wicked and deceitful men. Anyone involved in an abusive relationship, whether it is physical, verbal, emotional, spiritual, or any other relationship which is not the will of God needs deliverance from the hold these workers of iniquity have on us. I regularly attend a meeting where the participants share their life experiences before, during and after they have left a cult or spiritually abusive relationship. The one thing we all have in common is that we were traped, like birds in a cage, and didn’t know it. There was an open door to that cage, but we chose to remain trapped. We were fed and secure, we thought, but we did not realize that our liberty was so close, and yet so far.
Eventually, we were torn by the teeth of our abusers, and relationships, marriages, lives and trust were destroyed. Personally, I believe that God honored my faith and prayer of deliverance, and I didn’t even know that the ones I needed to be delivered from were those I had placed my trust in. I still pray this today as I have seen this work in my work place as well. It is the will of our Father that we all live quiet and peaceable lives. There is no peace or tranquility when others lord over us and trap us with their heresies or controlling actions. Jesus was sent to Lord over us, not men. When we accept a false lordship, we are just like the Children of Israel who refused to allow God to be their king. He sent a wicked man to make their lives miserable, and placed them under his ungodly laws instead.
So, let’s chose this day to allow the King of Kings to be our Lord. We can escape that snare and the words of our kidnappers, and rejoice in our liberty! Our lives can soar and Jesus will take us places we never imagined He would. Those places cannot be found in the cage these wicked people want to keep us bound in. Our churches may not have bars, but our freedom is just as compromised when we blindly allow these catchers to be our caretakers. Jesus never abused ANYONE!
As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, “Flee for your lives! Don’t look back, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!” But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.
Genesis 19:17&26 (NIV)

Jesus, my shrink

“Afin de ne pas laisser à Satan l’avantage sur nous, car nous n’ignorons pas ses desseins.” 2 Corintiens 2:11
2 Corinthians 2:11 …in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
|
It may sound a little sacrilegious… if you’re religious…but for the past year or so, Jesus has been my mental, spiritual and emotional healer.
He has accomplished something that no man could do to help me. He is still delivering me from false teachings and heresies. I have shared some of my conversations with Him, and day by day, the yoke of bondage is being lifted. He knows my inner thoughts and my iniquities, my faith and my doubts, my fears and my hopes. After all of those years of “confessing the right message”, and swallowing the lies of the enemy, I am no longer afraid to be truthful and admit to my imperfections. Yes, we can be “reprogrammed” and help is there for those who seek it in secular ways. I am not discouraging that avenue. This blog is the method I chose and it may not be the way to go for others. I have bared my soul and been strengthened in the process.
Hebrews 12:01 -Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
I encourage all of you out there to throw off everything that hinder, binds and burdens and reach towards the reward. Writing has helped me gather my thoughts and express my pain and confusion. My friends and family and their support are also invaluable. But HE is the One who delivers me. He is the One sent to set the captives free. Not everyone feels comfortable exposing their hearts. But when we allow the Lord to show us what is there, that’s when the healing can begin.
Jesus is my shrink , but more importantly, He is my friend, and He knows me better than anyone. He has blessed most of us with a sound mind for a reason. Our mental and emotional health should never be overlooked when seeking spiritual answers or fellowship.

pressing onward
January 16, 2010 · 3 Comments
A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned how God equips us with the skills and experience needed to do His work. I have been knowing for a while now that I needed to spend more time with the
“other side” of my family. My parents are getting on in age and my nieces and nephews are growing up quickly. My children are grown and almost on their own. So, I searched around for opportunities in the El Paso area, and was hired to write articles for an online publication part time. This will allow me the freedom to continue my present job, and slowly work my way west as I build up my writing portfolio.
I am by no means a great writer. I have basic gramatical skills and a somewhat limited vocabulary and I am aware of my shortcomings in that area. But I have passion and drive. These were qualities we were discouraged from having at WOL. These are the areas that I would like to explore, now that I have the liberty to do so. My dad is very creative, he is an artist and makes beautiful works of art with his hands. He paints, draws, does woodwork, and in his latter years, has discovered his God given talent. He uses it to bless others. Many of his works are auctioned off at church functions to raise money for their charities or projects. My dad is someone who I have much respect and admiration for. Yes, I used the word admiration! No, he is not an idol, but I do relish the fact that in many ways, he too is my example.
So, I will be writing on three subjects once I get my home webpage set up. Those subjects are Abusive Relationships, Evangelical, and Senior Travel. I encourage anyone with the passion and skills to write short, entertaining articles as well as photographers to contact me if they too are interested in exploring this opportunity. The company is hiring writers in numerous cities, even smaller towns, and are looking for a multitude of subjects, from entertainment, to restaurants, to legal issues. Anyone interested in further information can contact me at

here is a portion of Roa’s latest e-mail:
We admitted our daughter Sudha into Hospital by the advice of her Doctor. She will do her operation on 21st or 22nd. Scanning report shows her delivery probably on 19th instant. But Doctor waiting for pains. To her operation we want nearly lakh rupees. (2500$ in US currency). Due to her bad luck Sudha also afflicting by skin diseases. We are using so many ointments, tablets etc., but her pain was horrible. We need the remaining amount worth $1500/- for her operation. I left this burden to our merciful Lord Jesus Christ. Sister if possible kindly sends your help to my Bank account. I have already the details of my Bank account.
In spite of all our difficulties we are have been carrying our gospel services regularly and sincerely. Our door to door preaching, free tracts distribution, open air meetings street rallies all are well. To raise our work we have several needs. Importantly wants Telugu Bibles literature etc. Our rented thatched shed was in dilapidated condition. We wish to shift from this shed to a good permanent RCC Shed. Due to our financial difficulties we sold away our site just 2 months back. To conduct our gospel tours to our surrounding villages we are hardly meet our traveling costs. We are all frequently reached to the stage of ill health, and we are badly needed of medicines and Doctors treatment. After left by Bro.Allan Svensson, since a few years we are facing violent difficulties every day and our orphans, widows, and we are all hardly suffering for food, clothes and other needs and hardly living here, and actually our flight was beyond my description. Our children begin begging on streets and our old aged women and men going to labor works and getting meager amounts to our maintenance. Everyday I myself and my wife and our dependants all tearing about our rueful situation. We are spending days hardly. But our Lord Jesus Christ shown mercy upon us and He provides you for us.
Sister You have informed me that you sent 2 boxes with importants for my daughter. Thanking you for the same and thank you very much for your kind prayers.
Sudha convey her heart-felt thanks to you. We are pure vegetarians and please kindly note it. We do not eat non-vegetarian food.
But Sister In our country Postal thieves is always trying to steal the cheques, currency, and the important items from the boxes of others. Postal charges are also very highest to send these boxes. The cost of Postal charges was comparably higher than goods. Actually those all goods we can purchase with those Postal charges. Main problem is by postal thieves. Postmen also thieves. They steal all the items and fill with some waste and rugged items in the box for equal weight and deliver to parties. Some times Postal authorities demanding excise duty fee on these parcels. I just explained to all these problems to know by you. Don’t think otherwise. When we received those boxes I will inform to you.

Here a 25 Kgs., Rice Bag cost @ Rs. 900/-(20UD$) Rice 1 Kg. cost @ 45/-rupees (equal to 1$ US dollar Vegetables are cost 1 Kg. 20 rupees. A pair Baby dress cost @ Rs.160/- (4$) Johnson’s Baby Soap cost @ Rs.45/- (1$) Telugu Bible cost Rs.100/-(2.5$) and all the other items prices were also cheap. . If you send some financial help we will purchase all those things here in our place. If I hurt you by this writing please pardon me.

my response to ROA:
Brother ROA;
Thank you for your latest e-mail and sharing your story with me. Now, I would like to tell you a little about mine.
Like your daughter, I too was in an abusive relationship. I had four young children and I moved away from my family because they believed a false gospel which promoted a Pope and Saints, and a weak, anemic Jesus.
I faced many challenges, and I too prayed continually to be delivered from the hands of wicked men. They abused me physically, emotionally, verbally and spiritually. But each time, I trusted in the Lord. My children were born at home and never saw a doctor except for their immunizations required by the schools. When I had a bill to pay, He provided. When my children became sick, He healed them. When we had no food, He sent someone with provisions. I never asked anyone for help, but Jesus heard my cries.
(Isaiah 41:10) Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
I do not fear what thieves can steal. We can trust in the Lord and believe that the boxes will reach you and your family intact. The rice, beans, baby clothes, toys, books, soap and other things cost me very little. What is important is that we give in obedience to God.
I once was involved in a ministry for many years. We gave over a million Dollars to a country which today is infested with Aids. The leader claims that they wanted his money, but not his gospel. There are many false gospels taught in foreign countries by Americans. The true gospel brings repentance first, and then health and prosperity to those who believe it. That is the gospel that has sustained
my family and I, and has healed me, physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. My house and car are not fancy by American standards. What I have is rather modest here. That is not what matters to me.
(Col 3:2) Set your mind on things above not on things that are of earth.
My children and grandchildren have all they need
and I have never compromised my beliefs to please anyone.
The point I am trying to make is this. This gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ works anywhere in the world, in the young and the old, and not just in Dallas, Texas. Jesus died, was buried and rose again to set the captives free from their religious bondages and their heritage. Can I ask you why you are vegetarian? I am certainly not judging you, as we are not to question what others eat, or drink or wear. But could it be because of your country’s traditions and religions? The bible tells us that God made all things good, and they are to be taken with thanksgiving. That includes beef, and poultry and pork. Do you chose to believe the bible, or your religious traditions?
This gospel will change those who are willing to repent from their religious ways and believe the power of the only and true God. It took me many years to learn this, and I am still learning to trust in His son, Jesus, everyday for all of our needs!
The message from the Haitian missionary I sent you is very appropriate at this time for your congregation. Like his, your country has suffered many earthquakes and famines. The missionary stated:
What are we to ask God for Haiti and its people? Should it be health, strength, food, safety, housing… or should we pray for conviction of sin leading to repentance? This is not saying we need not care for the sick, feed the hungry, show compassion to the heartbroken, and clothe the poor; but the display of true love is seeking the eternal wellbeing of our neighbor, not just the temporal. Matthew 6:31-34 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ “For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
further on, he stated:
People who spent their entire life working to build their dream house were killed inside of it, destroyed by that very dream! Will this event change people’s heart? It’s unlikely. The Apostle Paul says in 2Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. This sorrow caused by the earthquake will bring about death as its fruit. It’s not people’s vulnerability and sadness that will ever lead them to Christ; but it is rather, conviction of sin and repentance that precede faith in Christ.
- Do events like this one, offer the best opportunity to preach the Gospel? Not really! The truth is that the Gospel of Christ is not an emotional issue. Self-love and the fear of dying will make people have a shallow response during the shock and awe of the moment, but it will fade away almost immediately after the emotional sensations disappear.
Roa, these words are as true for your country and people, as they are for mine. I pray that you take them as seriously as I do. I am not trying to condemn you. These are things that also apply to me, in spite of our many differences!
Like Allan’s messages and the message from the Haitian missionary, my messages are also salty. That is Jesus in us. I pray that you accept them with humility and grace, void of offense.
Yours in Christ,
Isabel

(Phillip 4:6) Be careful for nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known unto God.
excerpt from a story of an elderly Haitian woman rescued from the ruins:
She had been at a meeting at the residence of Haiti’s Roman Catholic archbishop when the Jan. 12 quake struck, trapping her in debris. On Tuesday, a Mexican disaster team pulled her to safety.
Zizi said after the quake, she spoke back and forth with a vicar who also was trapped. But he fell silent after a few days, and she spent the rest of the time praying and waiting.
“I talked only to my boss, God,” she said. “I didn’t need any more humans

prosperity and success

“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful”
Joshua 1:8
Yes, it’s easy to take a verse like this out of context. Unless they have a revelation of the gospel, many people believe that they have to follow the law to the letter to cause the blessings of God to operate in their lives.
But only One could live up to it.
The Lamb of God was spotless, blameless, and the perfect sacrifice. It is now through faith in the Lord Jesus that we can enjoy the fruit of divine health and prosperity. Our self righteousness cannot get us there. Our dead works are useless. Only our faith in the resurrected Jesus can help us and comfort us in time of need. When we meditate on the power of God and not on what our flesh can do to advance our positions in life, we gradually replace the confidence in our ownselves by the trust and security we can gain when we believe the Jesus who layed it all down for us.
It’s a great day to believe and to be made sound!
